  1. Does "Smallbone" make everyone else laugh too or is it just me?
  2. If that is their first goal then that was to make it 1-1 😂😂. (Though some nice skill in scoring).
  3. Telegraph interview with Enzo: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has also been outstanding with 10 league goals and 12 assists. When Brighton held discussions over a potential deal to sign the midfielder in January, the response was emphatic. “Kiernan came to me when there was all the noise about him and told me that he had no intention of leaving the club,” says Maresca. “He said he had an obligation to get Leicester promoted. He feels responsible for last season and wants to take the club back to the Premier League."
  4. I feel like we can occasionally be guilty of the old trying to walk it in, but we seem to have found answers to getting through recently. At the start of the season it seemed that the first half was a bit of a non event but I think we've started to impose ourselves early in the game more as the season has gone on.
  5. Naturally you don't watch other teams as much of your own so are likely to draw unfair conclusions, though I'm sure whenever I watch Ipswich they score a 25 yarder. They have a much different approach to us and you can see it in the data. We have the highest xG per shot in the league (non-penalty), which you can see with the patient style and I think we've maybe had 2 goals from outside the area? The good thing with the style is that it is highly replicable with the right quality, as we've shown. Ipswich have a more mid table xG per shot, though also a shorter than average shot distance (so I do have some bias!). I think some of the "luck" could be put down to buying more lottery tickets...they've had 50 more shots than us. The fact that they've found a way to compete with the relegated clubs is hugely impressive in itself!
  6. And yet they've still got 3 fixtures which we lost.
  7. The bit before HT was mad, don't think I've seen that before. The decision itself I'm not fussed about, it was the fact he allowed 5 seconds of us throwing bodies forward, and then a quick Sheff Weds free kick, creating an artificial counter attack. So weird. If you give the decision that late, fine, but don't let them take it quickly.
  8. I think the challenge in beating 106 would be maintaining the pace once promotion is confirmed. The fact that others are also looking fairly strong may make us more likely to set the points record. When you look at Reading's results that block of draws looks like the point when they must have confirmed it but apparently it was the last of 3 draws in a row (against us) which sealed the deal. If we avoid a 0-4 Brighton type slump then I think we set the record.
  9. If we performed like Rotherham for the remainder of the season we'd be projected to finish on 84 points. If everyone else performed like Southampton for the remainder then only Southampton, Leeds, and Ipswich would be projected to beat that points total. This tallies pretty well with the final standings last season as we'd have enough points already for 4th. All moot anyway, we're winning the league.
  10. 4th choice and his future lies elsewhere. Will only feature if we pick up injuries. Was really excited by this signing when it happened but for the most part hasn't loved up to expectations. Always tough when Vardy was still here and generally scoring.
  11. A weekend when the 3 other teams in the top 4 were at home, 2 of them against relegation battlers, us away at a top half team challenging for playoffs. We've gained ground on 1 and maintained the gap to the other 2. Great weekend.
  12. They're at different stages of their careers to be fair and I feel like Yunus can do a job out wide too. I honestly kept forgetting Praet was on the pitch against Swansea. It may be more about desire that ability.
  13. Probably very few of those teams in the Championship too. Teams down to 14th probably thinking about playoff possibilities, those below not yet safe from relegation. I'm sure some will have nothing left to play for in the very last few games, but I don't think the beach effect is as strong here.
  14. Praet really is anonymous. Would seem difficult to justify his inclusion over Yunus on what we've seen football-wise. An odd one.
  15. All of the individual teams below 14th have fewer than half the points we have.
  16. Presumed Southampton would go on and win it when they got back level! Fair play Udders.
  17. Relegation battle could be looking very tasty with results as they are.
  18. We're hoping all 3 lose 😊
  19. Ipswich are out of the auto race. Good season for them but all about how they mentally prepare for playoffs now.
  20. Horrible to see that. He knew straight away.
  21. He bottled that because the post was near. Reminded me of Beckford away at Peterborough.
  22. The fact that this is likely to be 2 of the 4 playoff teams shows how poor the standard is in the Champ.
  23. I swear Ipswich fans are some of the most biased in the country.
  24. It's not a great return, of course. But they've played us twice and Leeds in that 8 game block. And lost their main striker at the start of that period too. I think they will be in the playoffs now, which is a great season overall. They massively overachieved for the first half of the season but I wouldn't discount them in the playoffs.
  25. He's an absolute gem. Got all the attributes of a great modern keeper. Will go for big money.
