You can watch them "in action" 46 times next season instead of just 38

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
DJW1 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think that he should go (sacked or "amicable parting of the ways") at the end of the season as we are going down with him or with another manager. I can´t see his heart being in it facing 46 games in the Championship. We need a manager with experience and success at Championship or League 1 level. We need him in place in May, to influence signings and have a full pre-season (with a pre-season tour in the UK, not flying around the world for "glamour" friendlies). -
When did you first realise we don't have good owners?

Apart from promotion, writing off the debt, staying up, free beer, winning the PL, reaching the CL quarter finals, winning the FA Cup, and winning the Charity Shield (and the education, sanitation, law and order...), .......what have KP ever done for us? I think the 25 quid charge for a plastic season ticket card made many people wonder about the owners. -
Another aspect of the decline since 2021 must be the coaching. For example, Daka was not good enough when he arrived and has not improved at all. Some younger players have looked promising but then have stagnated (e.g. Thomas)

Still plenty to look forward to: the 2 games against Saints and Ipswich to decide who finishes bottom. Anyone thinking of going to the Forest game should seek professional help.

I was there, but I don´t remember Paul Henderson and David Bell. Were they Holloway´s milkman and plumber?

Best Leicester Player From Almost Every Country

ROI: Gerry Daly (on loan in 83, I think) -
I would like to se a combination of young players brought up from within the club, several signings of promising players from the lower divisions and say half of the present squad. In the Championship we will be one of the bigger fish and may be able to attract such players. If we sign 6 such players for 15 million (total) and only 1 makes it then we recoup the outlay. The other half of the present squad should be sold/released/loaned out, if possible. If we are mid-table all next season but show promise for the future then I will be satisfied.

Australia: Steve Corica. What a skilful player. Pity he got a bad injury (and then went to Wolves) Hungary: are the two signed by Holloway the only ones? -

Before my time, but my dad said that Davie Gibson was not only the best Scottish player to represent Leicester but the best player full stop. -

I´m writing this after just a quick look at the previous comments, so excuse any repitition. The atmosphere at the KP depends a lot on where you sit. I`m usually in block H (quite good). I´ve also sat diagonally opposite, where there is virtually no atmosphere. I imagine that safe standing, on the Kop, would improve the atmosphere I don´t like it when our fans taunt the away fans after a goal, rather than celebrating. When we won the league I never used a clapper, so that turned into a superstition (it´s not working any more though!). They should ditch the clappers, flags and pre-match pyros to save money. They don´t boost the atmosphere - it just peters out in 5-10 mins. I don´t go to away games but the points system means that it´s the same 1500-3000 people every time. When I see our away fans on TV they look older and less excitable than the fans of other teams.

I think we´ll go 0-2 down then win 3-2 thanks to a Daka hat-trick and a penalty save in the 99th minute by Danny Ward. Oh good - the nurse is coming with my medication.
-
I posted yesterday that the fans who still go to away games (I don´t) could boycott them once we´re down. The club doesn´t lose any money and there´s nothing at stake (except perhaps 1.5 million per place in the PL). If anyone wants to spend 50 quid so they can get laughed at for 2 hours by the Forest fans that´s up to them.
-
Perhaps they think we´ll never play in the Premier League again. Once we´re down I think there should be a boycott of away games. Who would pay around 50 quid for being laughed at for 2 hours by the Forest fans? I haven´t been to an away game in 20 years and I understand that some fans enjoy the day out, but I´m not sure how at the moment.

The mystery is why we signed him. They spent the pre-season of 2023 trying to get rid of Daka and then signed Cannon even though he was going to be out injured for 3 months. Once he was fit and had played several games, they preferred Daka for the rest of the season. Who decided to sign him? He always looked miserable last season whereas Daka, for all his shortcomings, at least looked happy when they won, even if he hadn´t played.

Now Friar Lane & Epworth F.C.

Is it Friar Lane OB? Passing by on the train it seems reasonably close

In his first book, Claridge says that he refused to to Greece pre-season as the hot sun affects him badly and when the season started Ian Marshall was picked ahead of him. Claridge never really got back consistently in the team and left for Wolves, and then for Pompey etc. etc.
-
Thats what he said in his book "Tales from the Boot Camps", which is an excellent read. His follow-up book is a bit tedious.

He´d probably drop it
