Would like to have seen Nelson but equally, chuffed to see the likes of Okoli, Fatawu, BEK & Mavididi starting. Didn't expect Nelson to start though. Team is pretty much as expected following how we set up Pre Season.

Was us giving him 90 minutes against Fiorentina the equivalent of someone taking a car for a test drive? From the sounds of it, this deal was basically wrapped up before that game.

Their Pre-Season has been dreadful hasn't it. Don't read too much into pre season alone, but when you look how they ended last season, if that has carried through to Pre-Season then its much more worrying. Hoping they've had their one season of fortune & will be holding hands with Leeds in the relegation pits.

Didn't think Birmingham looked up to much, they were just quite dirty - Like that Sunday league team full of knuckle draggers you dread playing every year. Ipswich were honking but as per usual, get gifted some kind of result through luck alone. Hoping Southampton put an abrupt end to the Wrexham party this afternoon.

Players like Maguire, Maddison, Fofana, Mahrez & Kante etc were always going to leave for bigger clubs. The one who i think we could have actually kept, and regrettably didn't, would probably be Lookman.

I'd say that it likely is true. I've also seen / heard / read somewhere that Grealish scans through Just Giving pages donating where he see's fit. Never get why he's like some panto villain.

If we manage to keep the likes of BEK, then we probably deserve the points deduction just to keep the league competitive. That was 100 minutes of calamity.

Haha, Ipswich carrying on where they left off. Must be the luckiest team in the whole football league. Harsh on Birmingham although its been a pretty honking game in terms of quality.

Yeah, I agree. Ive got some completely unnecessary dislike for Ipswich and I still cant pin point why. I think its the frustration with how spawny they were in the promotion season. All the red cards they got away with, all the deflected goals and added time goals. Probably Ed Sheeran too..... But equally, I quite like what Birmingham are putting together this season. Giving it a real go by the looks of it. Hoping for Birmingham but thinking Ipswich will be too much for them. Forget that Ipswich still have the likes of Szmodics who blitzed the league even in a, at the time, very poor Blackburn team.

Always felt he was a bit Kasper Schmeichel esque in as much as he'd make some absolute wonder saves but then let in goals which a keeper at that level should really do better with.. Main difference being, Mads has much better distribution and a lot more potential. I think West Ham have got themselves a cracking deal there with almost certain profit to be had in the future. Still surprised he didn't end up at Chelsea much earlier in the window given his style of play & Enzo's rating of him.

BEK certainly has a lot of potential, and i can see him ending up at a top club, but not yet. He's had one season where he's stood out as looking the best of a bad bunch. The stats hardly suggest he 'tore' up the league. I'd have thought he is on the radar of many a club, but the price tag may well be a put off given how unproven he is. Have a feeling he'll stay and then get a really good move after having an impressive season.

I can see this seasons championship being a bit more competitive than usual. Im sure there will be a big divide somewhere in the middle, but I can see it being a good battle up top. Birmingham look to be putting something good together. Hate to be that guy, but id love Wrexhams little fairytale to crumble.

That's a really good move for KDH - Escapes Chelsea before they Drinkwater his career. Probably about his level too. A bit too good for the Championship but never a top 6 team player.

Find it weird that Mads played a full 90 in our last Pre Season friendly if any kind of deal was a certainty. I think as far as the managers concerned, he's a Leicester player and he'll be starting against Sheffield Wednesday unless anything comes through.
