No, not like when we won it and stuff, but we've never been as slow & negative at building up as we are now. Successful or not.
-
Yep, not doubting that, and not saying I agree with it, but don't forget this forum represents a small minority of the fan base. If you were to ask every fan in the stadium if they thought the football was exciting or boring, I'd be confident more would say boring. It's evident from the moans and groans. Again, not saying its right, but the majority aren't behind this style of play, mostly likely because they don't understand the finer details of it & have been so used to us being quite direct in our not so distant success.

Whilst I know some people are fully behind these tactics because they understand the finer details etc, the majority of fans just go to watch an entertaining game of football and probably see our current style of play as some of the most boring & negative football they've watched for years. We've gone from counter attacking top teams in the Premier League, to passing it around at the back against Plymouth. Rightly or wrongly, of course the atmosphere will suffer.

How bad must Cannon be.

Can he play up top -
Coach travel seems to be all sold out via the Club & Ausden Clark. Anyone advise best way of travel and how bad stadium is to get to if driving.

Oh how the great have fallen.

That I see. As much as I thought Coady was a great signing, and would walk into the team, Vesty has been undroppable. I thought Coady looked a bit uncomfortable on the ball when he played the other week but that's likely down to rust. Cannon situation is odd though imo. Enzo has put to bed the 'not fully fit' brigade. I don't expect Cannon to start, and I don't expect him to be the answer to our striking problems, but I don't see how he didn't get some game time these last couple of games when Nacho & Vardy (especially Nacho) have been none existent.

I can't account for what others have said, I've just said that I am not on board with all the hype yet & that his distribution is questionable at times. To the contrary, I have said that he is young and there's scope for plenty of development. I've not called for his head or doubted that he's not one of the best keepers in the league, but let's not pretend that his distribution wouldn't have been punished more if we were playing against top attackers. But yeh, I rate him overall so I'm not getting embroiled in an argument that doesn't exist.
-
Did he keep a straight face when saying that?
-
Congratulations, but it changes nothing. Unless, of course, your suggesting we take your opinion with higher regard than other people's on this forum.
-
Just my opinion, luckily it mean fvck all, just like yours.
-
Blackburn. There are quite a few others we have got away with thanks to the poor quality of strikers in the league. Anyway, don't mistake this for me thinking hes not a good keeper, i rate him, but i still think he has a lot of developing to do and i still don't trust him with the ball very much at all.
-
I'm struggling to get on board with the mass hype. I've seen him put us in the sh1t just as much as I've seen him get us out of it. Absolute suicide passes to our back 4 at times. But yeah, admittedly he's still young and there's likely scope for a lot of improvement.

Winning team, played half decent, 9 changes incoming.
-
Man City please so we don't have to play any extra games.
-
Whilst I am still not buying into the style of football yet, I will admit that was a massive improvement to anything I've seen these last few weeks. Okay we had a bit of a lull mid way through, but for large parts of the game I thought we looked like a top of the league side. We looked confident and much more direct than we have done for a long time. Okay West Brom didn't offer an awful lot attacking wise, but their results show they are solid at the back and I don't think we caught them on an off day, we were just the superior team tactically and ability wise. Hopefully we see more of the same on Saturday.

Mavididi seems to almost get worse game by game. I'm convinced he's a decent player, but wether he needs a rest, more competition for his place or what - I am not sure. Loving Fatawu though. Clearly young and makes some silly decisions but hard to get frustrated as you can just see he enjoys his football and is capable of getting you off your seat.

Ipswich & Leeds winning today just adds to how good and important a win it was today.
-
Thought we looked much better than we have the last few games. Still very little attacking threat. Still very negative football. But yeh, that's a very good & deserved win although God knows what West Brom were doing, clearly thought we were there for the taking & paid the price. Still not sold on Enzo & his tactics, and today's win hasn't changed my mind in the slightest, but I'll enjoy it.
-
No, it's just another win to plaster over cracks so the likes of you can just clap along like you no doubt did with Rodgers. Let's not pretend today has been pretty.
-
We might even turn it really on and get our first shot on target.
-
Yawn.. All gone a bit flat...again...need to do something soon else it will be West Brom that score - most likely from a Leicester mistake.
-
You mean like against Sheffield Wednesday when Vardy was non existent for the entirety?
-
Yup. Don't get me wrong, Nacho can finish but I think we need some one who can offer a bit more. I really don't know if Cannon is the saviour, but he's got to be worth a go over current Nacho & Vardy (albeit I think our system Is as much to blame as any striker)
