Yes but a lot of this is due to the uncertain nature of the points deductions. And how nobody knows how many points we might be deducted. Obviously all self inflicted though.
Baffling the decline we’ve seen over the last 2.5 years.
I think it’s purely the “just keep us up” mentality. Staying up this year would solve loads of our financial issues assuming we don’t spend loads of money this summer
Ideally we’d have someone who could stabilise us and keep us up playing good football. I don’t think that person exists for sure though. More likely to me we’ll go for someone who will play nice football, rather than purely looking for stability.
We were in a much more precarious situation this time last year and we took a massive gamble on Maresca which paid off. We might feel like taking another gamble.
I reckon for the main parties we'll see something like this, maybe a few more SNP -> LAB considering the direction of polling and not as many others, but more or less this. It will take something astonishing for it to not be a landslide.
It wasn’t for Top’s friends, it’s an annual club staff party. Held every year (last year notwithstanding due to relegation). Normally hundreds of the staff (every level from players to cleaners) and their friends/family attend. Does seem bad they didn’t mention this to you though.
Equally, how many clubs net 31 wins? Last club to do it was us in 2013/14. Only other clubs in the 21st century are Reading and Man City, who also won 31 each.
Opta define a “big chance” as
A situation where a player should reasonably be expected to score, usually in a one on one scenario or from very close range when the ball has a clear path to goal and there is low to moderate pressure on the shooter. Penalties are always considered big chances.
