  1. Sometimes, a post is such an encapsulation of the awful author, it's tough letting it pass without comment.
  2. If you're looking for a supercilious, 'my opinion is always correct' type of friend Rumble, I'd stick with this guy, you've struck gold. X
  3. I think he'd come to us in a heartbeat. I think he thinks he's a much better manager than he is. Far from taking Liverpool close, he blew it with the league's best striker in his team at the time. It's still a no from me.
  4. And the benefit of NO other contenders during his tenure.
  5. Good to see you back @49er Got an in-laws 'thing' to attend, I'll be back on later Merry Christmas to you and yours btw.
  6. I know mate. Was being a smart arse!
  7. Wow, chuffed with that one.
  8. Rafa Nadal Cult favourite with Wimbledon
  9. Bennett?
  10. I can't live, if living is without Drew (Jarvie)
  11. In the absence of @Fox92 I'll take up the mantle. The Beatles became polished, due to producers. The Stones really started as a blues covers band. I find it hard to separate the two if I'm honest but the Beatles entire recording career and development took the same time as it took the Stone Roses and Oasis to release about two albums, 7 years, start to finish From the teen anthem 'I wanna hold your hand' to 'In my life' to 'I am the Walrus' to 'Eleanor Rigby' to A day in the life' in about 4 years. Don't get me wrong, Satisfaction, Sympathy for the Devil, Tumbling Dice, Heartbreaker, Under my thumb and too many others to mention are all great, great tracks but the Beatles stand above them for me.
  12. Duck fat? **** dat.
  13. Yeah, that's actually fair
  14. Bit of a 'serious' joke Oz.
  15. Lloris is ok until you have to wait behind him at the bar. Takes ****ing ages. ****.
  16. That's totally true but they feed off the media nonsense. Difficult to realise you've achieved very little when the press constantly blow smoke up your ariss. I agree with the previous poster, I had a soft spot for the early 80's Spurs team when I was at school. Always seemed to play 'nice' football with a couple of real flair players. The Redknapp team AK mentioned were the same, certainly entertaining to watch too. The London press have always liked Spurs but recent years have seen them go into overdrive and the latest squad does seem to have a few prima donnas mixed with some (on the surface of it) quite dislikeable tosspots.
  17. You can almost hear the telephone conversation now. That you boss? Aye, Ole, what can a dae for ye son. Any advice for Saturday boss Aye, drop that ****, drop that **** and pick they two ***** instead. And start ****ing attacking, we'll knock they sky blue bastards aff their perch son, you stick we me Cheers boss.
  18. Because he won't be outspoken and he'll be pliable I reckon. They'll just want to get through the interim period with as little fuss as possible after Mourinho.
  19. He could definitely be sacked for that.
  20. It's actually quite a good tactic in my experience. My Mrs once threw a full gin and tonic in my face when I was being a dick and it completely disarmed me as it was so unexpected. I just couldn't stop laughing. She'd never done it before or since (though I suspect she's keeping it under wraps for the inevitable point in the future where I completely deserve it again).
  21. What causes one to wake up in an entirely sarcastic mood for no apparent reason?
  22. Who'd take Mozart?
