  1. Genuine question, is this post satire? I do not believe that people were doing a Guard of Honour for talking to Aiyawatt & getting zero answers. I assume the second part of your post is a lie. Look at this forum, the feeling towards King Power is unanimous. If you were really representing us, you would hold him accountable, rather than repeatedly asking him “what is going on?”. It is quite evident what has happened - him and Jon have dragged the club into the gutter and under their stewardship, have overseen the biggest downfall in English football. They deserve to know that it is shameful and a disgrace to the city. As I have said above, it should be so toxic that they feel worried about attending. Aiywatt probably departed that conversation thinking that the fanbase still have his back and back him to turn this around. FYI, I was overseas, where I live - assume you will tell me that you are a better fan because you waited to hold his hand until 1am?
  2. Not after watching your leader ‘interview’ Top. It literally epitomised the whole club right now. It’s a bit bizarre to build a group around ‘representing supporters’ but giving a one dimensional, sympathetic view towards the situation. I actually cringed so hard watching the video. It should be so toxic that Aiywatt should feel worried coming to games, instead, we have some clown literally apologising to him. For what? No doubt that King Power will be under the illusion that this is how the fanbase feel.
  3. Will it? They are done for. Vichai had all the connections in Thailand and Aiywatt has no idea how to a operate a business. Obviously, Leicester City will plummet in value when we inevitably get relegated, but he might have to sell his biggest asset (even if he loses a fortune).
  4. I actually cannot wait for King Power to sell up. They are an absolute stain on our club; and even when things were good, I never got why they were worshipped so much. They developed a cult-hero status, which, by the way, no other club has EVER adopted with any ownership. The statue was a huge mistake. I don’t care if I get bashed here, but a shrine dedicated to our “WUNDERFUL OWNER” is a complete embarrassment. Did we conveniently forget who won us the league? We should’ve reserved that space to figures who made a meaningful impact at the club. Do us a favour Aiywatt: sell the club and never show your stupid, nepo face ever again.
  5. Winks kissing the badge, give over mate.
  6. Soviet Union FC. I, for one, am happy that the club are getting upset by this. Obviously, you can debate about the method you use, but let’s be honest here: it is about time that the club are held accountable. Obviously, I do not condone chants that incite murder, but I welcome the club finally understanding that people are unhappy about the way in which the club has sleepwalked into regression. You know, of course, there is a simple solution here. Rather than censoring criticism, Rudkin could just retire. The club need to take criticism for this as well. The communication (or lack of) and failure to take accountability for overseeing one of the biggest declines ever in English football has only added fuel to the fire. If this was any other organisation, Rudkin would’ve been greeted with tangible consequences years ago. It’s actually scandalous that the club have blatantly ignored this.
  7. He will know the internal problems at the club but that isn’t mutually exclusive to him, we can all see it. It’s no different to any other organisation: recognising the issue and addressing them are two separate entities. We all know who the elephant in the room is, and as I have said above, until King Power go, any manager will struggle with putting us on the right track.
  8. I would love King as manager. At this time, I just do not think it’s right. There are a lot of redeeming factors: intelligent guy, loves the club & very well respected by the fanbase. I just do not think it’s a good time. You just know that he will inevitably be let down by the hierarchy & it will end badly. He doesn’t deserve that and as a supporter, I would not want anything that could potentially tarnish his reputation. The issue is that when/if we lose at Norwich on Saturday, Cifuentes will leave. I mean, I don’t think he is the answer , however, he is not the main issue at the club. In all fairness, he probably isn’t even problem number three. His tactical setup is turgid & his substitutions are mind-boggling, granted, but I am not even convinced Guardiola would get this bunch playing. He will depart and we will just embark on the same cycle: appoint a manager, win a few games & then proceed further on this downwards trajectory. I’m sorry, even on the off chance we improved on the pitch, I just cannot get excited about the club right now. I live overseas - but if I lived in the UK, I probably wouldn’t care about going regularly. I’m completely emotionally uninvested until Aiywatt and Rudkin GTFO.
  9. Him scoring and sprinting back to kick-off really hit home how much he saved us over the years. I really think he was underappreciated in football - he was consistently hitting 15-20 goals in sub-par teams; especially between 2016-2019. As a club, we were lucky to have a genuine world class striker, but the club never implemented any contingency planning for when he inevitably left. Unfortunately, we are paying the price now. You probably have to time travel back towards 2013 to pinpoint the last time we signed a good striker (Leo Ulloa). Vardy, at 38, would be our best striker even now, if this doesn’t highlight the genuine mismanagement at the club, then I’m not sure what will.
  10. Tbh, I don’t really know anything about baseball which is criminal considering I have lived in Canada for over two years. I have to say though, I did enjoy the World Series. I live in Vancouver and undoubtedly it is probably bigger in Ontario and where the above posters live, but it was nice to see people come together. The bars were packed for all of the games here, so I can only imagine what it was like in the East. It’s a shame that the Blue Jays couldn’t win tonight, would’ve been nice to have one over the US.
  11. It’s a common theme in this club. We have no tough guys anymore. Schmeichel, Morgan and Huth would not stand for this. Fatawu is just a kid, granted. Nevertheless, as a winger, if you don’t think that you are going to get kicked about in the second tier of English football - you are extremely naive. Posting this just indicates individual and collective weakness. If you are Milwall and preparing to keep our best player quiet: just kick him. This post literally advertises this on social media. Apart from Vardy, we haven’t had a hard man in the squad for ages. We need a nasty midfield general or a Wasilewski type defender, nobody is scared of us. Take Sunderland as an example; they’ve assembled a squad of talented young players with Xhaka in the middle. You need a couple of players that are going to keep receipts. I do not buy into this anecdote that the game has shifted away from this. Success at any level in football does require mastery of the ‘dark arts’
  12. Who is actually surprised though? We recruited an abundance of bang average (at best) players. Proceeded to gift them contracts that no other club would offer and set them up for a cushty four years at Seagrave Country Club & Spa. I’m sorry, but this is entirely the fault of the Thai Prince and his overpaid cronies. I’d be happy to compensate for a few rough years if we saw the back of these freeloaders.
  13. Stolarcyzk Ricardo Nelson Okoli Aluko Winks James Ramsey Monga Fatawu Evans The continued reliance on underperforming, lazy players week after week won’t offer anything in terms of improvement. If Cifuentes thinks this, he is deluded. He has to be brave and provide a platform for our youth to develop. I think most would accept that mid-table mediocrity would be more acceptable if it meant fostering the development of players within the youth system. If we roll with the same lacklustre system then we will get turned over here.
  14. Nelson should be getting more minutes, yes. I do not disagree. At the same time though, people act like our academy is a silver bullet for our problems. You quote Page - he looked out of his depth when he played at the start of the season. Subsequently, he is back with the U21s and he is regularly quoted as one of the better academy players. For me, there are two options. We either loan these players out or we get them involved with the squad. It does not have to be for ninety minutes, but giving them a role will enhance their development. Unsurprisingly, we are doing neither. It goes back to my original point though: the club hierarchy have no plan here.
  15. Question here: is this squad as good as people make out? There needs to be a serious conversation regarding this. I said this back in May - if people think this is 23/24 all over again, they’re wrong. This isn’t exclusive to our fanbase, but everybody refers to our ‘quality’ as a redeeming feature in this squad. I am not convinced. Winks? Good player when fully committed, but his continued inconsistency hampers his impact. Ricardo? I like the guy, but his career has been impacted by the 2020 injury. Mavididi? Blows hot and cold too much. Seems to alternate between flashes of brilliance and underwhelming performances - it’s been the latter for nearly 12 months now. Stolarcyzk? One of the better goalkeepers in the division, but his tendency to palm shots into dangerous areas remains a real flaw. Fatawu? Without a doubt, the shining star in this squad, but our one dimensional gameplan will see him isolated. That leaves us with an average crop of players like Faes, Vestergaard, Thomas, Soumare, Skipp Daka Et.Al. The issue is that people see that we signed Player X for £20,000,000 and assume that they’ll steamroll the Championship. Not true. To put simply, price tags are not directly correlated to performance. The BBC live feed can quote how much we spent on our squad all they like, but fundamentally, it means nothing. Footballers should be judged on the eye test & very few from this squad are passing right now. The point I’m trying to make is this: Do I think Cifuentes should have converted some of these draws into wins? Yes. However, is he solely to blame? No. I’m putting the blame at the door of the board. They've overpaid for multiple players and allowed the club to regress. In essence, I just do not believe that this squad is good enough to be promoted by default. You can bash Cifuentes all you like, but I do not believe that he is the primary problem here.
  16. The defending on the Portsmouth goal exemplifies our basic defensive deficiencies. Faes has to make a critical decision: either engage the player directly or drop off to cover the runners. He does neither. Thomas also does not track Swift. Look at the goal, he is nowhere near him. He was unmarked and has all the space and time in the world to put the ball in the net. There is a complete lack of leadership (everywhere) but primarily, in that defensive unit. What is genuinely hilarious is that this squad think they’re too good to be here. They need a reality check. You can look at the positive aspect: one loss in ten. OK, but if we are thinking objectively, I’d say we look an even match to every side we have played this season - Wrexham, Portsmouth, Sheff Weds; its alarming. It underpins the poor planning at the club, no leadership at the back, a midfield who can’t be bothered to be at the club and nobody to put the ball in the net. If this squad genuinely think they’re too good to be in this division, they’ll get a reality check. If we continue on a performance trajectory, we will finish 11th, and I’m assuming we do not get hit with a points deduction there. At this rate, Coventry will be as good as promoted by Easter. If that doesn’t demonstrate how far we have fallen, then I’m not too sure what will.
  17. I live in Vancouver, nowhere will show it. It’ll be 7am here. Only places that show English football that early are some designated Manchester United & Liverpool bars. As the above poster has rightly said, enjoy Vancouver. It’s beautiful here (although pack a decent coat as the rain season is here). Feel free to drop me a message if you need any recommendations.
  18. Part of me is willing to attribute this to playing in a struggling side, but I think there are just too many glaring examples to ignore. Players have it too easy here, and I don't think anyone thinking rationally could genuinely dispute that. I feel that Seagrave was one of the biggest mistakes that we have made in our recent history. I cannot lie, I was all for it at the time, but we literally had our Golden Era at the old training ground. I think this goes back to a more broader point though. For 2-3 seasons the club leveraged themselves financially against continued success i.e. consistent qualification for Europe. The issue is that we have regressed at such a high speed and this has been coupled with a world-class training ground and the continual of stupid contracts being dished out. We bring it on ourselves by our recruitment strategy, but we are a soft spot for unambitious, mediocre and in a lot of cases, past their best players. Ayew, Coady, Ward and Winks are all cut from the same cloth. Until we move away from this, rip the current club culture apart, and essentially start again - I do not see us doing anything but continuing to go backwards. None of this will happen until Khun Top and Rudkin go, of course.
  19. Bin this fake tanning waster off. There is such a persistent narrative on him that is not aligned with his contribution. Minus a good spell between August 23 and March 24, and the occasional isolated moment, his impact has been limited. He isn’t alone in this department. However, he is only rated so highly because Soumare and Skipp are completely useless. I have no doubt that he is a good footballer at this level, but he underpins everything wrong with us as a club right now. Spent all summer (unsuccessfully) pushing for a move and struts off at full time and fails to show any recognition to the travelling support. He is symptomatic of Seagrave Spa. I am anticipating the departure of these players and hope that they will encounter the level of accountability that is clearly absent at Leicester City. We might be one of the only institutions where consistent underperformance and lack of effort is actually met with reward, not tangible consequences.
  20. I was relieved to see that Carney won, even if it is a minority government. Interestingly enough, in January, Poilevre was projected to win the largest majority in every G7 country. Obviously, Trudeau resigning had a big impact, but I think the self-destruction going on south of the border was more important. Trump has literally threatened the sovereignty of a proud, successful and independent country. Prior to Trump being elected, it felt that Canada would turn blue, and I say this as somebody who lives in a Liberal stronghold. Carney was a sensible nominee for the Liberal Party, he is a welcome break from the mould of career politicians. He successfully guided Canada during the 2008 Financial Crisis, and in my view, he did a decent job in the UK (in a challenging set of circumstances). I support his stance towards the US, and I hope that Canada and the UK can build an even stronger relationship over the next four years. As I touched on above, it will be interesting to see how the Trump term will impact populist parties across the west.
