  1. Shilton and Banks are the best two keepers England has ever produced. None of the other City keepers come close to that pair. Tim Flowers was excellent though in the short time he was with us and certainly better than Kasper .
  2. Probably worst but highly likely scenario is : Evans starts on Monday … we get battered … dropped for Saturday. Caglar then starts Saturday … not the best of debuts … decide he is not quite ready. Morgan comes back in against Cardiff to save the team.
  3. Ok guys thanks. Not been a good couple of months my father after his fall is now in a vegetative state and is in the General hospital. Then two weeks ago today my mother fell as well and she fractured her hip ( now replaced ) and her shoulder and is in the Royal !! Think they could at least put them in the same hospital. Luckily I've never suffered from ( but sympathize with those that do ) depression so at least can avoid posting on that thread.
  4. Can't wait for the new David Attenborough series Dynasties. Keep getting little teasers but still not sure when it starts.
  5. Tasty player … usually need warming up a lot before he comes on though.
  6. Remember some work trip out in the Eighties to Wembley to watch the Chicago Bears. They had a bloke playing for them called the Fridge .. he was what is now known as a bit of a unit.
  7. Thought my original prediction was quite conservative but now thinking this was optimistic. The six games following the Arsenal match are crucial for the club and even more crucial for Puel.
  8. Thanks Mr Squirrel .. went fishing in France in July with the lads and now seems a distant utopian memory.... saw a lot of your relatives when I was over there ... far more attractive than the tree rats we get over here. Couple of questions : Not thinking of moving but assume the house is now virtually unsellable ? Surely the builders Taylor Wimpey were negligent in planting the bush in the first place given the fact that they knew the house was being built on clay soil ? The crack under the patio door concerns me the most 4mm wide and right next to the drainpipe
  9. Well the nightmare has just escalated ten fold. Subsidence has been confirmed and .they say the cause is nearby vegetation i.e the bloody bush the builders decided to plant next to the house in their infinite wisdom when they built it. How they can come to this conclusion when Cunningham Lindsay , the loss adjusters, just send some semi literate bloke with bad body odour around to take a few photographs and speak into some form of audio recorder. There has been no check on the drains at all !! Anyway the conclusion seems to be that I have to pay for the removal of the bush and then they will monitor the cracks until next Spring before the insurers will pay for any remedial work. How the surveyor or whoever comes to this conclusion with no proper evidence is beyond me. Three independent opinions from people in the know , including one kind poster .. a structural surveyor on this forum .. are of the opinion that the roots are too shallow to cause any kind of damage.
  10. 4/1 for a draw and 6/1 for a City win. The bookies aren't daft and I think I'd rather go for an evening's Morris Dancing than go to this. Mind you Huddersfield are 16/1 to beat Liverpool on the same weekend and they are at home ..... as I said the bookies aren't daft.
  11. Hate to be the bearer of bad news ….. but they don't play ay Highbury anymore.
  12. Think your right there listening to Pep sounds like he was first in line to take it after Aguero was subbed. Feel sorry for the lad if this is the case.
  13. Not sure whether I admire his bravery for stepping up to the plate or despise his arrogance to think he would actually be the hero given his dreadful penalty taking record. Bit of both I suppose. Poor chap's going to get murdered in the phone ins.
  14. Mahrez a bit pants …. just seems to slow Citeh down. Still don't think they needed him
  15. Certainly is. Last win apparently was on 8 September 1973. 2-0 win , scorers : Lenny Glover .. remember him Some chap called Stringfellow .. can't remember him … was it the bloke that owned all of the night clubs ???
  16. Our last 20 away games at Arsenal .. won nil … drawn one .. lost 19 .. goals scored 14 .. goals conceded 50. 3-1 to the mighty Leicester then .
  17. Lacazette and Ibangyourmum against our defence ain't going to be pretty.
  18. Think having Virgil Van Dijk … the best centre back in the league might have had something to do with it.
  19. I don't think you can under estimate the Kante factor when looking at recent seasons. In 2015/16 we had him shielding a pedestrian cente back pairing of Huth and Morgan .. yet we only conceded a miserly 36 league goals in this season. Chelsea conceded 53 league goals in this season. In 2016/17 we conceded a poor 63 goals and surprise , surprise Chelsea won the title conceding only 33 goals... 20 less than the previous year. Last year we conceded another poor 60 goals and Chelsea conceded only 38 goals. Anybody thinking N'Didi is an adequate replacement should take a close look at the above stats. The Kante factor is huge for any team he plays for.
  20. Bad management Puel …. very bad
  21. Not surprised … despite the battering he's had here .. he's actually pretty good
