Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

Wonder why Alves is away on the first team celebration. Can only imagine it's to get him to commit to staying -
Fully respect and appreciate your objections to these types of companies; but the amount of money involved in elite sport now the majority of companies/people involved are all with their skeletons and moral/legal issues. They don't get to where they are without them sadly. Which is a real reminder of how shite the world is.

You'd also imagine throwing in a Womens Premier League side sponsorship, training kit deal etc would maybe boost it a little as well

Signed a new 3 year deal not too long ago as well. Won't have been a cheap pay off

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

You'd then argue Jan 23 through to Jan 24 should really be only time it's looked at. We sold Fofana for £70m having just finished comfortably mid table in summer '22. No reason we should have foresaw going down. Obviously the management financially was a car crash but still. And as you say, we can't be held completely accountable for players refusing to sign contracts and clubs not bidding for them. -
When he's on song, an exceptional player. Able to pick a pass, spin past an opponent and score with ease. It's when his touch/eye is off he becomes significantly less effective and stops a lot of moves. Isn't a 9, isn't really a 10. Work rate can be an issue for any pressing side and isn't overly quick for counter attacks

Tells you all you need to know really. Fan reaction is the real indicator of if they were doing well etc
-
Eh their results are your generic play off chasing side.

A fairly large target with the likes of us, Southampton, Leeds in the league. That's before you include Boro, Norwich, WBA and Coventry were strong last year. Playoffs were an achievable target, but to be sacked seems far. They were always competing for 2-3 spaces before any wildcard teams doing incredibly well.
-
That's a crazy decision. Admittedly did spend good money (in championship terms) and missed out on playoffs but that is still a very strong squad built by him. Quite a few of those will go for good money. Owner hit me as a weirdo from the interviews I've seen of him.

Forest basically told they should have taken steps to reduce their losses by selling players earlier. So maybe we won't get much mitigation -
It's a Win;Win in terms of reputation. Keep us up and he's done brilliantly. Go down, but go down by a small margin and he's done well as we started on -6 (or more, or less)

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

It'll be important to note that as fans we look at this incredibly cynically, we have underlying issues with how the club is run. An independent panel won't have those views, so potentially will see a club having massively tried to cut it's cloth, realising they were in trouble, spending reasonably and still falling foul. I would argue that isn't huge mismanagement -

Forests were technically higher than Everton and they received a 4 point deduction. Remember the league can give whatever punishment they fancy, but the independent panel will be the decider of what's acceptable or not. Administration is the biggest issue in terms of financial consequences. The club can no longer pay it's bills etc. There's no logical way spending above PSR limits, but not being at financial risk should receive the same or more severe punishment than administration -
They've also lost Monchi, Emery and a few other backroom staff who helped identify and find these lower priced gems.

UniFox21 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
From what we've seen so far, Everton have 8 points deducted (with 2 under appeal) and Forest have had 4 deducted. You'd imagine we'd be within that range, likely higher than Forest as we've been seen to argue back and fight the illegal actions of the EFL. You'd imagine 6 points, but as you've said, we have no idea. The experts are disagreeing over what could happen so who knows. -
Looks like a Zenit st Petersburg kit from the mid 2000's

2024/25 Season Tickets: Renewal Dates & Prices Confirmed

As others have mentioned already, another journo seeing this and flagging how shite the decision is. -
Jesus that was woeful from Evans, Onana with some dubious keeping
-
They sold rice last year, likely will sell paqueta this summer - both who made their midfield tick. Would imagine Kudus and Bowen will be other club lists as well.
-
I've never understood why the club put up so many walls to this sort of thing. They pre-approve everything, are given plenty of notice of any plans etc, has been shown to be loved by players and the majority of the ground. The PR behind it does wonders, and costs the club zilch. I would understand the angst if this was about the banners against the club etc, but this is completely separate thing
-
Wonder if he was needed to help get us over the line and add as support. But now we are up, in a more physical league with more money available we're able to go to higher calibre or more reliable players
-
Not about Rudkin at all, but mad that we seen our scouts, medical staff, analytics, groundsmen, scouts all poached and working at huge side. Yet not a single rumour about Rudkin.
-
Looks like he's leading those half term kids classes at Butlins
-
What has been nice is seeing players enjoy the celebrations with family. Coady has posted a lot of pictures of his kids with the trophy and medals. Some of them may never win anything again in their careers
