  1. I can't imagine them agreeing, unless stupid money passes hands
  2. Just not sure how they'd fit it in, they won't go through the common given the presidence set with the train depot rejection
  3. The South East Water event is making interesting reading. The upstream treatment works has failed, we've been given a couple of reasons as to why - first was related to the coagulant (used early on in treatment) and now there's been a disinfection issue (end of treatment). 24k on boil water notices is a bold move considering they were told normality would be returned by Tuesday. Intrigued MP's calling for the PM to take charge or the CEO's head; neither of which would resolve a treatment issue.
  4. Having the ability to get between Leicester and Birmingham (and all the towns in-between) with a later service than 9:30/10pm on a weekend would be a real help. Connection from the city towards the west of the county and west mids is abysmal.
  5. I'd argue car based lifestyle isn't too difficult to combat, we as a country just seem against any sort of public transport funding.
  6. I'm really hoping when all providers are under GBR the service will begin to improve
  7. Bad Omens on their recent tour have been brilliant, great supports as well
  8. The stat of him losing more than he'd was damming for me. We aren't in a brilliant place as a club, but bloody hell we're better than that. There's a reason QPR sacked him. There's 0 game plan, the only change I've seen lately is suddenly fizzing passes between LB, LM and Winks
  9. Posted around this in the health thread not realising it had been discussed here. I agree that over diagnosis is a risk, and incorrect treatment can cause huge issues for men. Annoys me the suggestion is you should only get mass screening should you have a few specific BRCA variants. Unless you have family who know they have the variant, you're only finding out by testing. Testing that the majority of men won't know about. Variant testing isn't something you're told about regularly, or even offered much. So it's all well and good wanting this testing to be only those most at risk, but when those most at risk don't know it's them, the idea falls apart. We should be encouraging conversations like this, encouraging and making it easy for men to get a quick blood test to check everything is fine.
  10. BBC News - Most men should not be screened for prostate cancer, says UK expert body - BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm20169gz44o On the surface this is a disappointing read, basically suggesting mass screening would be more harmful than good. In reality, they should be encouraging any man above the age of 45 to go to their GP and get a PSA/blood test annually. I do find the promotion of mens health to be ineffective when it's so difficult to even get into your gp. Edit; especially frustrating the suggestion is only those with a specific variant should be tested. And obviously you're only finding out you have said variant by getting a blood test
  11. 100th EFL Game, lost more than he's won. Get rid
  12. Saints player making 2 fouls in 30 seconds avoids a booking, very harsh 2nd yellow
  13. Excuse me
  14. But made significantly easier when officials give soft calls and allow their bloke to stand a yard or 2 off
  15. Might turn it off, Fatawu pushed over on the ball
  16. Not sure how Lee Hendrie has got himself a co comm job
  17. To be fair to him, not his man, his runners further into the box
  18. Soft foul, similar on aluko not given other end
  19. The irony of the Stoke game being part of safe gambling week, and every few adverts was one of numerous gambling sponsors.
  20. The cooperation charge is laughable. Had we co-operated initially we'd have been charged for something the independent committee ruled against
  21. As just 4 people who will naturally get drawn to the ball rather than everything, I expect the officials to miss the odd thing. But these missed things continually.
  22. This is good news and some actual common sense politics. However, commuting is still ridiculously priced and not increasing prices doesn't make this any more accessible to people.
  23. Half cynical view this potential DQ is just to keep the race alive.
  24. The booking for Mav jumping up into a defender was laughable
  25. A test being over in 2 days is not good whichever way you look at it
