  1. I am sometimes unsure if something is an insinuation or an implication. Not this time.
  2. I figured that they viewed the player as too close to the cross to be considered a deliberate action. Not discussing if I agree, but just saying I imagined that was the logic behind the decision they arrived at. (Oh, and they are structurally corrupt and hate us)
  3. Certainly seen them given, but in the cold light of day, you can also see the logic why they didn’t give it.
  4. Good transfer. Fancy Jannik might need a move to be first choice from here on out.
  5. Ok, let me ask (I am not opposed to this) but what makes them better? edit I was not trying to be a smart arse, just don`t know much (anything) about these managers that would suggest they are a good option
  6. I am really not sure, history is not promising in this regard, but I pin the slim hopes of evolution to confidence gained from a (much needed) 3 points.
  7. If that’s what it takes and he is willing to do it for the cause, give him a contract extension already!
  8. Not disputing the second half was shocking, it was and that’s on Cooper, he has to make them braver/less risk adverse at times.
  9. The sad thing with the “wish we lose so this fraud goes” brigade is that it would just repeat with the next guy.
  10. Mads for Facundo straight swap.
  11. Maybe this is Cooper in a nutshell, he is more focused on stopping them, than making us more attacking?
  12. You are right! What am I thinking, this stuff is easy, we can just attack for the full 90 at full pelt!
  13. Safe hands. It was at this point. Cooper brought Soumare on.
  14. This what Ipswich are currently doing. Reckon their fans and ownership are fine with it?
  15. I have no knowledge of this, because as a self proclaimed clapper of the happiest order, only the self flagellation that demands.
  16. We do have a habit of writing players off a bit early, but blimey he has a long road back….
  17. Your malcontent provides exactly the same to the cause as a happy clapper. Can you seriously not see this?
  18. Because the guy they did it with left, because we were under a likely penalty and because we are going to be in the highest league level, basically lots of churn, but it is also possible I read it totally wrong. Could be that the lack of confidence comes from Cooper, and his careful safety first game plan, loathe to call it tactics.
  19. Suspect you are quite correct in your conclusion.
  20. Not going to contest this as it’s largely true. I think Cooper is a bit of a coward, or at least very wary. Just after the first win is on the board, hope now we can relax a bit and be more adventurous. Still disagree on Ayew as selecting the pass to Facundo or Steph risked losing the ball and the game turning into ping pong, exciting but with little control, so the choice to slow it down and lower Bournemouths momentum did not feel a bad choice. Think Cooper prefers a modicum of control, so this type of thing was always likely. Not going to lie, today reiterated quite how far we have fallen.
  21. I totally get this and agree, and I think part of the issue is that people are wanting to see Fatawu and Stepney bombing down the wings, ideally supported by Ricardo andJJ, but Cooper is not that guy, not that brave, even if he might think it reckless, and I hope we see more bravery after this initial win. Plenty don’t like Ayew, for the reasons above, but he seems just what a team fighting to survive in the this league needs too me.
  22. I hope we see braver display as time goes on, but don’t hold your breath about Ayew.
  23. Buying fouls on the byline, 5+ I would think.
  24. Hope after todays epiphany of not requiring 3 CDMs that we see a more adaptable formation soon, and yes, a bit more Bilal whilst keeping plenty of Facundo. Anyway, Ayew’s foul fishing helped get us over the line today.
  25. To be fair he is Satan to the majority of posters in this thread. So it may add a bit of balance. He is certainly not the messiah, he has lead a low confidence team to a hard earner, yet lucky victory. I just hope that if he does remain (not bothered either way) that he can cause the group to push on from here.
