Got me thinking, how many times have we been desperate to sack a manager early in their tenure (within the first year) and it turn out to be warranted? Must be quite a while?

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
Dahnsouff replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Saw that and thought it very odd. Maybe he has a potty mouth? -
Yes, it sounds good, but the projection (it’s a projection and not a fact) is that our over performance would likely cease, leaving us in the shy-t. Or. You don’t blink (the board will never blink in our position right now, no way) and hope our current trajectory continues.
-
Isn’t it more likely he is celebrating our first win?
-
Not convinced if it has been unanimous from day one that anything would have happened to be honest, but guess we will never know now.
-
Surely the nigh on unanimous call for Rodgers to go sends a greater signal?
-
A rare outing for sardony, Sir?
-
I agree, but to quote (Our Lord and Saviour) Maresca, when the defence plays better, everybody plays better. (Or words less mangled than that, but the concept is clear I hope)
-
Because the board is reactionary, whereas they need to be proactive. In this instance whilst it seems ok and we keep picking up a decent rate of points, fine. This also does not mean a better manager could not raise the standards after Cooper has secured our survival. Need a DoF with an actual plan that spans more than 5 minutes.

Bournemouth (H) 1 - 0 -- Post-Match Thread (5 Oct 24)
Dahnsouff replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Would rather Jamie had just tucked it away to be honest. -
Doesn’t this assume the rest of the defensive unit is static in terms of performance levels, rather that the team will improve through familiarity (if nothing else!) over the season? You would surely expect the levels of cohesion to improve and defensive performances to hopefully go with it.

Southampton vs Leicester (A) - October 19th
Dahnsouff replied to 420Hashish's topic in Leicester City Forum
Could cope with a draw and a good performance, but not a loss. -
No, not at all Sorry if that is what it sounded like. I merely meant the situations you quoted did not have the (self inflicted) challenges we faced, and that may have had a negative effect on recruiting a more desirable choice. Maybe the lure of an EPL job would have been enough for some, but maybe we get a Euro Cooper in that case!

Leicester City versus Bournemouth Post Match Analysis
Dahnsouff replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Damn right on this. I was and still am disappointed not to see Jannik pinging the balls from defence, and Ricardo as a Rolls Royce in midfield or defence. Cooper seems stubborn, which rings an alarm bell of familiarity, but he has not done enough quite yet to get the boot in my mind, and anyway, Okoli and Faes looks good and fancy we may not need a Jannik if that duo continues to flourish. If he was right on that, maybe with time he may get other things right -
Was it on purpose? Wasn't Cooper and Vardy asking them to move up the pitch? To stop reverting to type? Although even if this were the case, even if the team rather than the tactics saw them sit deeper, this is something Cooper has to fix, and just hope a win (or 3) could help provide confidence in the team to do so. Even if it were all on Cooper, the same win (or 3) for him to be more inclined to be more attacking as per Dr Jekyll, and to even recognise the value in a wasteful, yet still incredibly valuable Fatawu in getting away from our own penalty area.

Would those managers have gone to those clubs if they had just been promoted and had a likely points deduction? Liverpool and Chelsea probably yes due to their stature. Brighton maybe due to their recognised impressive board level performance (Except a relegation may rendered that null and void). Don`t take it as a defence of Cooper, I have no interest in that, but if we are going to do ifs-and-buts, lets do all of them.

I think that is fair, I do tend to try to (like to?) push a little against the general consensus and sometimes not in the most productive of ways. (Becoming a contrarian at this point, so that needs greater self awareness and control on my part!). Agree with the 4 types of posts classification, but it does somewhat ignore the quantity of certain types, such to a degree it becomes a drum best of protest. A perfect example is Bournemouth, not that we won, that can be put to one side under discussion, but in that game we were Dr Jekyll (1st half) and Mr Hyde (2nd half), yet Mr Hyde takes centre stage alone with the majority of negative posters, and I think the balance I am perhaps hoping for is a little more time on stage for Dr Jekyll, although I do recognise though that is at the personal choice of any given poster. Case in point, Bournemouth had 2 shots on target, same as us, yes they has 17 shots off target, and they hit the bar, hit the post, yet we saw an inexplicable miss from Vardy and could easily have had a penalty, there are reason to add balance from both sides. Have stated many times, I have reservations about Cooper, I see no sense in the late substitutions and sometimes the nature of the changes seems weird and unhelpful, and he seems rather cowardly with the intensity, but at the same time I recognise that events, personnel and performances prior to his appointment can not always be trusted as a barometer for how he should manage this team. For example, for Ricardo a player who must be one of the first names under consideration after recent seasons who would not struggle to remain quizzical at his exclusion? (The only possible reasoning here that makes any sense too me is that JJ is preferred due to his robustness, but I can see a scenario where a simple declaration of stupidity on the managers part may not be the only reasoning) So if my posts seem frustrated with a perceived imbalance of negativity then I apologise, but this negativity can be self perpetuating and personally do not find an echo room a particularly healthy place.
-
I always want the same tbh. I want balance. Although yeah, will confess my hope shown for Rodgers went on far too long. Feel there are some strands of hope starting to show from the last game though.
-
To repeat your point, this is one way of looking at it, and sorry but I always hope for better and just prefer not to expect the worst. (Yeah, its annoying so I have been told)
-
Yes but we could be worse off, so he should be sacked for that possibility. I am not a fan of some of his decisions for sure, but the lack of any semblance of balance in here is mind blowing
-
Felt that word needs a little emphasis in this rebuttal.

Leicester City versus Bournemouth Post Match Analysis
Dahnsouff replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Suspect the choice of JJ (this type) tells you why all 3 are not selected in favour of recent alternatives. -
Do not disagree, but it would be nice to see a more balanced post once in a while.

First half, they were lucky that Vardy did not score, they were lucky the referee ignored the foul on Buonatte, they were lucky that hand ball was not a penalty. Nothing is as cut and dried as you make out from the first half. Second half we were sh*t I agree. 2 shots each on target in that game, the rhetoric on here does not act like it. But yes they had 10,000 shots off target so they should of won for sure.
