  1. Ok, maybe he will. So you are suggesting we be preemptive and get him gone now?
  2. I actually would as it would speak volumes about the club.
  3. History is written by the victors….
  4. Nah those inquiries and appeals are over, unilaterally concluding it was @Ric Flair’s fault.
  5. Well that sounds just great, no idea how the finances stack up, but yes please!
  6. Pretty sure they come in here, spend 5 minutes reading posts, leave and say ‘Nope, still in the Matrix’
  7. First signing 11.59 5th June just to annoy the EFL?
  8. Liked his skills and spirit, was probably never likely he would stay unless he totally blew up. Thanks and best of luck Yunus!
  9. Yes good for us but totally crap for Ipswich, after two successive promotions they have become carrion in the worst possible position
  10. This guy makes me want to start a Who do you NOT want in the PL? thread.
  11. You say that, but I watched a highlight of the Man City game where we won 4-2, Slimani’s work that day great (for a big lad). But yeah, one or two games was not enough. but man I miss Fuchs….
  12. Thought we might have missed the boat, but he is still only 26! Must be cheap as chips now he is in Bundesliga 2, surely…. Looking at Bundesliga 2 shows Tzolis on loan from Norwich is tearing it up, same position as Reese, useful backup at LW, sure.t Norwich might sell?
  13. They are. Very well run. The argument is that being well run does not cause much cheering in the stands, something we have witnessed in quite a bit in recent times.
  14. Did not know that, and that is interesting, as it feels destructive for Ipswich should it happen. Although Ipswich appear fairly canny too.
  15. Recently would agree, as the relegation illustrates, but people love to quote Spurs as an example of winning sod all but claiming success compared to us, and you forgive Brighton wilfully for an example of the exact same. May be I got the wrong of the stick? Can we say that for Top and Co? Yes, probably but recognising they have seriously dropped the ball recently.
  16. One is top prospect on the way up and one is looking for their last contract, as well you know.
  17. That’s a little convenient as I don’t imagine a faultless separation is rarely without greater preference from one side and I just wonder if the opportunity for a so called super club has forced anyone’s hand. Of course it may that RdZ has grown weary/wants a new challenge and Brighton just feel his stewardship is stalling and it is as you suggest, an agreed parting of ways has been agreed. Fair play to Brighton for seeing the way it is going in this case. An outbreak of tribal thinking can hardly be surprising on a football forum to be fair.
  18. Both things can be true I think, Brighton are well run of that there is little doubt, and our recent stewardship has been questionable, but would we swap the last eight years for a more beneficial last three? Of course not, and we are potentially seeing a more testing time arriving for Brighton, or it could all just be part of their tight planning.
  19. We massively degraded our brand after last season, and I am not saying we should be thankful (we shouldn’t) and Enzo came from failure in his last opportunity in Italy, such that he went back to safety of Man City. But. We obviously saw something in him that the powers that be decided was an approach they wanted, so it’s fairly mutual in my opinion. Cannot see what he gets from coming to us unless we are collectively successful, it’s not like he would get kudos for failing to get us promoted.
  20. Politics has no place in football, Leeds can still do one.
  21. Both parties benefited.
  22. From my occasional look on SaintsWeb, he seems to……divide opinion.
  23. Agree, but the offside decisions have to be nigh on instant and not involve a muppet with a red crayola
  24. You hear this a lot but never a name and I know we aren’t scouts, but even at a superficial level, who plays like him? Has the same range of passing, yet maintains an acceptable price point? (No smart responses ) I think it is far harder than people make out, I know @HoneyBadger said Edwards fits the bill, and although I am not able to contest the opinion, that fact he is still at Peterborough causes me to question this, but as I said to him, if true then get Edwards and keep Jannik for a season to maximise the effect of transitioning. edit - Cags is nothing like Jannik, you would lose the ball playing aspect, oh and Cags is proper sh*t now.
  25. Agree on Rudkin, don’t see any way he goes as he clearly has some value to Top et al, but the shifting of him sideways within King Power seems quite feasible, replacing his position with a more qualified individual or even team of qualified personnel. I am guessing this is what Enzo is looking for.
