His exit was never likely to be the walk of shame many wanted, it was always going to be a gradual moving aside/upstairs due to Top's reliance on him.

Hindsight judgement on my part, but cannot have any confidence that recent managers would have picked him often enough for him to get comparable game time.

I struggle to see why relegation would make them walk away? Surely for both familial as well as financial reasons, relegation is very unlikely to make KP sell the club. Maybe I am missing something.
