Quick reminder Brendan put him ahead of Soyuncu who's just played (and beat Brendan's Celtic) tonight for Atlético Madrid in the Champions League.

Agree about the contract situation but the situation now is very unique and not the same as what happened with the likes of Youri. I'd take the hit with Nacho because the goals will be worth more than the money. Going forward though I'm sure the club has learned a hell of a lot of lessons after Soyuncu and Tielemans.

I think when people only have themselves to blame but don't want to admit that, they will often find something to attach that blame to. I doubt it's anything. He had chances out on loan to prove he was as good as he thinks he was and he failed. Which is fine. He has done more than most footballers ever will. Just strange to tell himself he is any better than he actually was.

A third of the season gone - your thoughts?

Agree with all of this. I've gone from thinking Ndidi is just a better footballer than most at this level so can easily play that role to genuinely admiring how he has adapted after watching Casadei. I still think Casadei will come good too. But with Ndidi the pressing can't be understated for this system. If/when it gets to the Premier League I think we could quite easily have a whole new defence, wingers, new centre midfielder and striker. -

Ahead of where anyone would expect us to be at, and I say that as someone who predicted us to win the league quite comfortably. It'll be a massive boost to beat Boro and go into the break with some favourable fixtures ahead. -
It's quite sad realising how awful a lot of footballers are isn't it? We can be a bit ignorant to it when it's players who have given us so much happiness but it doesn't excuse the fact most of them are like this. It's sometimes better not to dig too deep into the other side of their stories because we'd probably end up thinking a lot less of all our heroes.

I'd be willing to say we have a bigger worldwide "fanbase" than most outside the top 7 or 8 after what we have achieved this century.

What pub you in?

Bet he never takes one again

I'd have had him taking that free kick Justin had in the 96th in 2093, never mind 2023.
-
I think you're right.

Hermansen seems to have taken the bit about it not mattering if he makes a mistake as just casually piss around with it all you like lad. Some of that passing from him first 10 minutes beggared belief. You couldn't even make out who he was trying to pass to. Way to sloppy and casual with it.

What did Leeds create? Certainly nothing that was his fault. He was good again. Only openings Leeds got were from shockingly lazy distribution at the back. Every time they come at us with pace all of our defenders recovered well.

Way too much hyperbole used here for Vardy. It was a no brainer to pick Nacho or at least put him on much sooner when it was so obvious that our striker was having to come that far back. Not Vardy's game at any point in his career. There's not any version of Vardy that does well tonight with that service or that set up of the opposition. We seen under Puel what he could look like at times. He'll still get 15+ goals

Did anyone feel like one floating, labouring ball cut across from Fatawu to Mavididi was ever going to do anything all night? Me neither. And we did it 9 times. Literally the most predictable I have seen us in ages and we offered nothing to change it.
-
Just need to make sure we win next week and then it's a decent run of games after. Don't lose next week though. That will start some nerves to set in.
-
Really gutted with that. Feel like smashing something up
-
This is the absolute shit side of how we play. So predictable and we have no answer when teams play like this against us.
-
Needs a goal before 80 or they'll just fall over all over the place and see it out
-
What exactly has been the game plan or the team talk at half time? Been really bad tonight
-
This game screamed Nacho over Vardy. There's been a few times I've wondered why Vardy has started ahead of him this season but today is a very strange decision. Asking Vardy to come back to centre midfield to ping balls is bizarre.
-
Superb tonight. We are very lucky to have him at this level.
