  1. No…. At least Silva did not do much damage. Faes proactively destroys us.
  2. Thankfully I didn’t bother to watch it. Anyway, surely RVN must resign right now. Or must be sacked. Worst ever manager.
  3. Our biggest problem this season is our CBs. None of them good enough. I like Okoli though but he was never given a chance.
  4. But the problem is, what sort of players are we going to get? Last season, we had a squad full of PL players and other managers used to comment on that. Next season, we won’t. The manager we get will be utmost important to get the best out of whatever squad we will have. Meanwhile, I am going back underground.
  5. I fear this time we will stay in the Championship for a long while. Our squad this time is much worst compared to the squad we had last season.
  6. Worst manager ever. We would have survived if we gave Cooper a chance. Even though we didn’t, we were still above the relegation looking threatening.
  7. I miss Cooper. At least we were scoring.
  8. We are so bad now even compared to the beginning of the season when we were 15-18th place. With Cooper, we were always in games and scoring. Defensive mistakes from Faes and Justin were costing us. Now we are completely outplayed, have no fight and are not even scoring at all. RVN is the worst manager ever. He has no idea whatsoever how to play with a squad that is not Man Utd level. He is just using traditional methods and tactics but with a squad that does not suit. Thus, I am the same. Not bothering to watch or anticipate games at all now. So having my weekends too.
  9. He must be the worst ever manager. No doubt about it now whatsoever.
  10. Justin is really turned into an atrocious player.
  11. Taking off Soumare has taken off any spark we had in midfield with his turns and runs. Should have taken Ndidi off. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. We can’t even score.
  12. This time when we go down to the Championship it may take years to come back up. Last time we had a squad that did should not have gone down. This time we may not even be competitive in the Championship.
  13. Why take off the only guy making anything happen offensively in Soumare. The others just go backwards or sideways or head aimlessly. Should have taken Ndidi off.
  14. Vardy should have shot rather than to try to pick out Daka who was quite a few yards behind. Where is the confidence of shooting?
  15. Can’t quite agree. Maybe one is called being flexible given the limitations of the squad. The second one is called having no idea how to make things work. I was indifferent when Maresca left. Oh boy, I rather watch boring passing football than this current display.
  16. Agree. Cooper, while not the best, was way better than RVN and this current display.
  17. We have no idea how to score yet RVN still leaves Bouneoette on the bench. He stopped scoring since RVN came.
  18. “At the moment, Leicester City is playing a brand of going nowhere football.”. Commentator. Quite right. RVN is really bad, as it turns out. Much worst than Cooper. We were always somewhere in the game with Cooper. I remember Cooper’s Forest were always threatening. RVN’s Leicester is absolutely trash with no idea how to even attack a goal. Relying on Justin to attack as a winger?
  19. Yeah. The sad thing in, despite us looking much better defensively, I was thinking on gosh there is going to be one time when we don’t close down and we will then let them score. It happened! I have to say separately that having Faes in a back 3 is much better than in a back 2. In a back 2, as he is often out of position, it causes havoc at the back. But with 3, we have 2 others to cover which then allows Faes the freedom to defend on the front foot - ie. “his regular rushing up interceptions/tackling”.
  20. One defensive mistake costed us again. How come no one closed in before the shot that led to the goal?
  21. This post poses a very good question. I will write more later, but I think a key bit of unluckiness was Fofana getting his leg break in pre-season. With Fofana, we had a really good and complete squad to be competing at the very top. In hindsight, knowing what we know now about club finances, that may have been the last major gamble the club put into this. I still remember us looking so good in pre-season before the leg break. All the subsequent decisions starting with recruitment sowed the seeds for our downfall (in addition to Brendan). To begin, and the biggest mistake we made (or the Board allowed Brendan to make) was the recruitment of Vesty (who Brendan immediately benched and whom we wasted precious millions on) and then Faes (whose mistakes then and now haunted us and continue to haunt us). Our downfall started with a loser mentality instilled by Brendan, but then it was the fact that we keep leaking goals. We once had a backline the envy of many - we won the league with Morgan and Huth who were a rock at the back - and then we had top class defenders in Fofana, Soyuncu and Evans. We now have Faes and Vesty - come on; even Macguire is better than them. So it is a combination of trusting the wrong guy in Brendan and then indecisiveness and wrong decisions by the Board. Ultimately, the buck stops with the Board I guess.
  22. RVN is really clueless as it turns out in terms of how to turn an average team into a team that can battle against relegation. He has self admitted to the problem. He needs everyone to work to their best in each position before we stand a chance because our squad is not as good as others. Then clearly he needs to change his tactics. Yes, if we try to play generic formation and trying to make each player play better than the opposition 1-1, we have no chance. We need to do a Maresca or Cooper where we play a different tactic (Maresca possession ball or Cooper’s mixed tactics and narrowing the pitch by playing with one winger only) before we stand any chance of winning any game. At present, he is just playing the same generic tactics that yes with a good squad the team can play like the old Fergie Man Utd way but we are not capable of playing that.
  23. Why didn’t we get Moyes? Look at Everton now.
  24. I think Cooper recognised the weakness in our squad and played accordingly. My issue with him was that he didn’t have a winner’s mentality. But at least his focus on playing on one side of the pitch only helped to shore up our defence and also helped with us having numbers in attack (albeit on one side), given our deficiencies. The squad didn’t like it as they thought they are champions playing in the Championship. RVN is too one dimensional with his structure. He does recognise the different profiles within the squad which is what I like about him, but he is unfortunately clueless in how to get the best out of the squad and insist on playing the width of the pitch like Man Utd. We don’t have the players for that. Playing in that way, our squad is simply not good enough compared to other teams, but I blame his tactics. I was not a fan of Cooper either but I was supportive of giving him more time. Presently, we just keep giving silly goals away - our defence is just championship standard - and we don’t have any ability to score goals.
