Spend 48 hours or so sorting through agent texts and emails touting their client 4. Narrow the list down to those they've heard of 5. Have an informal chat with Ruud's Moyes' , A N Other out of work manager's people. 6. Land on the one who ticks most boxes; fame, wages, CV, fan reaction They'd be virtually zero discussion on his philosophy, his views on where we are going wrong, his views on our individual players, his battleplan, his coaching staff.

But, a business doesn't always have to go for the crowd pleaser. there's managers in the championship far more qualified than RvN to have taken us over. And scores in Europe. But, genuinely, had you have me a choice of Mark Robins or RvN three weeks ago, I'd have gone Robins. Seriously.
