3 reasons you think we could survive
Paninistickers replied to Nolucklcfc's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agree.. The relegation season the players knew,.no matter how well they played, how tactically astute we were, how many battles they won....it was completely futile as we essentially didn't play a GK. The oppo could shoot from any angle at any pace and probably score. It totally destroyed team morale In fact, that same season I remember he came on as sub for Wales in the world cup when Hennessy was sent off and two minutes after his introduction, Wales' world cup was over. Neither Goal was directly his fault. Just routine shots he's unable to react to. And the outfield players know it. -

I said it after the relegation season, I will never see him play for us again. I cannot and will not be party to him representing us. He seems a nice enough lad and I do feel for him. But he in every sense isn't worthy of the shirt. He should've had his contract paid up in full upon relegation and given beat wishes -

Don't play Ward.. Don't play Thomas. Edit; not even in the bench, removing temptation for them to play even a second Neither good enough to be professional footballers, let alone in a PL squad. -
Wouldn't let Coady anywhere near the bench

Partly agree. But I remember the players in the relegation season, particularly against Chelsea when we were much the better side but for Ward to gift them three goals. Soul destroying It was visible as to how demoralising that wasnfor the outfield players. Shrugs of shoulders to the bench as if to say, what can we do with that in goal? -
Can't remember who in here said it after the Brentford match about the bubble bursting on some top level football coaches. The clown who picked that team was shown up for not knowing as much as Joe bloggs in the stands. Literally EVERYBODY could've told you what was gonna happen v Brentford. Same today. Most could tell you that the Ward experiment would be exposed within a few minutes. If not seconds. And so it proved. Many supporters / amateur players really do have a football intelligence at least on par with, and in many cases above, those professionals who've done all sorts of courses.

For couple of hundred a week, there will be a taker.
-
I stress that all this shite I throw at him ain't personal. I'd imagine he knows how bad he is and i do feel for him. It must be humiliation on a daily basis in training for him. 45k a week is compensation sure, but it can't be good for his soul to be so far the odd one out professionally
-
Hate to be a smart arse, but that's why I can't get in board with Ruud. When cooper picked ward I was astounded. Horrified that a professional coach could see ward as anything other than emergency illness cover / cone collector
-
Iversen
-
He was demoted to goalkeeper coach last season. He did the crosses pre match and cine collecting. Enzo knew it. In fact anyone watching him for 30 seconds or more would no he ain't a pro
-
I knew it. I knew if he played a second for us we'd go down. Today will be the day that sees us drop on goal difference. Not his fault. He shouldn't be at the club.
-
I think he knocks 10-12 places off ANY team. Liverpool or Arsenal would finish lower middle table with him
-
It really isn't hyperbolic. He isn't pro level. You could actually go down lower than the national league and occasionally find better keepers. In fact, it's not absurd to suggest that even some Sunday parks keepers who CBA due to booze and fitness etc would might keep him out of a pub side
-
It's been said over and over and over again. The lad isn't a professional standard keeper. There'd be 6 or 7 better keepers in the national league
-
Was ever this .every team knew relegation season just shoot in target and it's in
-
Agree. Injuries have fcked us in this one. This could be a really heavy defeat. Would love our full strength xi to go toe to toe with these. But I think we just gotta suck this one up
-
I think it's a mating call of some description
-
Duncan Norvelle gone. Always thought he was from Nottingham. Actually Hoton which is apparently near Loughborough. I'm gonna guess on the Leicester/Notts border. Edit; yes it is.
-
Wouldn't be entirely surprised if Abdul was back in April. Remember Fofana was back in March having had his leg snapped in half by that Spanish cvnt
-
Well it's gotta be Faes or Vesty sitting in front of the centre halves. Skipp and Hamza ahead. Literally no other options Play narrow, force them wide, defend the shooting areas. I can't see any other viable tactic
-
Goodness. Yes you're right. Dear oh dear
-
Skipp, Hamza, Soumare as a midfield trio....it's passable as a PL midfield...but just two in there would be suicide. Assuming we play those three, gotta be Mavididi, Vards and Buonnotte up front
-
He hasn't played and as much as I like him, his best days are gone.. Winks, Wilf and Abdul have all been at it this season (not that Cooper knew that)
