  1. Farce of a poll. Have it after the end of the season.
  2. I think the poster above who said it was not the style but the tempo is on to something maybe. Also, another poster, who pointed out he's an inexperienced coach. Seems similar situation to Arteta. Not that sticking with Enzo will necessarily be proved correct but it'd be crazy to sack him whatever happens in the run in IMO.
  3. I was told by a Liverpool sth mate that Rodgers would be great for two seasons and then it would turn to shit. He was spot on.
  4. By simple logic most teams aren't that great.
  5. I think the whole concept of this thread is wrong. He's a rookie manager - whose only previous spell as a #1 was fairly short and unsuccessful. Our squad/club was in turmoil. I didn't get a great deal of positivity/confidence on here before the season started. And if he hadn't come from Man City and worked with Pep expectations would have been even lower. As it happens he/we did great in those opening months and people, quite rightly IMO, got quite excited. Suddenly we are going to walk the league. Except life ain't like that and we've had some losses, lost some of our swagger, etc. Of course people have figured us out a little bit, of course Enzo is struggling a bit, he's a rookie. I accept the style of play isn't always a great watch and maybe we don't have the players/squad for it but changing too much has risks too. I hope we can just hold it together and get it done, Then we can think again.
  6. A few things that strike me. #1 - Some people have too much time on their hands (the stats/graphs) #2 - The guy is a young rookie not Klopp/Pep #3 - I didn't think our squad was that strong at the start of the season, certainly a few unknowns and give #2 I, along with many others as I recall, were bricking it and fearing the worst. #4 - Pep subbed off KdB at the weekend. They were a few raised eyebrows at that and the player threw a bit of a bit of a paddy. But it's Man City and Pep so it all blows over pretty quick. A rookie like Enzo gets the other end of the stick #5 - As someone mentioned our bench ain't all that.
  7. I think we can all agree Top is not Vichai. The question is more about whether Top can be a great owner in his own right. I say can be because he's probably made a few bad moves for sure but sometimes people learn from those mistakes and grow into the role. And while "be careful what you wish for" can be seen as a get out and used too often - I think reasonable scrutiny is natural/acceptable. Give it a month and things could look a lot better or a lot worse. Squeaky bum time.
  8. I'm not sure we are doing this differently to a lot of the top teams and coaches. Like anything you can overdo it. And also you need the personnel, for example a keeper comfortable with the ball at his feet.
  9. I've always liked Hamza. I agree his form has dipped at times in previous seasons but at 26 maybe he's hitting his peak. Let's hope so.
  10. Initially I was going to totally agree with this. Through circs I can't go regular but would be up for the odd match (be quite vocal and stay until the end) but gave up trying to get a ticket years ago. However.... my nephew seems to be manage to get a ticket for most matches he wants to go. And, aren't a lot of other Prem and Championship clubs in a similar situation....?
  11. Well, that didn't take long Enzo out?

    VAR

I think the idea of disposing of VAR and getting "our game back" isn't thought through. "Our game" was lots of diving, farcical penalty box antics at free kicks. Managers would moan about offside calls - stating "marginal" is still offside. Players will be buying penalties left, right and centre. Red cards would be "ruining games". I think fans are deluding themselves if they will be any happier. That said, I do think things could be done better/quicker. And that is what they should do. And ffs why can't they just stop the clock like they do in rugby - it makes so much more sense.
