This isn’t a simple scenario of a club in the middle of an injury crises clubbing together, this is a case of a football club that may cease to exist if drastic action isn’t taken. We need to turn up with the right mentality, and aim to tear them apart, I want no mercy, I want no feeling sorry for them or taking it easy, I want to see us try to score as many goals as possible, I want us to destroy them, humiliate them, go for records. We need to lay a marker down, we’ve endured probably the worst 12 months in this clubs modern history, we simply have to start well. No compromising, nothing, let’s ****ing have them.

What I’ve taken from the first weekend is that most teams are wanting to play high lines, and it is so far completely undoing them. In short, it’s precisely why we can’t play. Vesty…. He would be the major glaring weakness if we did.

Bristol have punished Sheff United for poor defending. They’ve taken the wind out of their sales. Is it a 1-4 game? Probably not, but credit Bristol for being ruthless. They’ve got a clear way of playing and will catch a lot of teams out playing like that. Do I think they are amazing? No, like you say, decent is an apt description for them.
