Surely any retrospective punishment should be with fresh evidence, none of this is fresh, it’s stuff that’s already been scrutinised has it not?

Literally makes no sense….. if you were an independent panel worth your salt surely you advise this just gets binned and move on…… this just proves there’s no set defined methodology to this process….. they’re literally just making things up to suit them…….

It’s a mess isn’t it…. As I said, when does this stop being about justice, and start becoming a witch hunt? Regardless of what we’ve done with the finances. I think what may happen, is any deductions are deferred pending a return to the premier league? Or an independent panel will hopefully settle on a fine and no deductions due to jurisdictions…… it just seems plain farcical that they can change the rules and then have another bite……. That’s not how rules work, case law is born following cases collapsing, and the point of it is to learn from these mistakes and tighten the laws going forward so it doesn’t happen again. Would wouldn’t find someone not guilty in a court room due to a technicality, change the law, and then have another crack under the altered legislation…… it’s not a fair and transparent process…. Neither is this. Regardless of what we’ve done and the potential breaches, it doesn’t seem proper to do what the EPL are doing, this has gone beyond seeking justice, this is now a pissing contest.

@teblin @Claudio Fannieri @Wasyls Pec Deck Agree with everything you all say. I’m not for one minute defending the board, and it’s clear we’re still operating with heavy losses…. But my stance is that it’s just becoming a tiresome relentless pursuit by the PL and the EPL to get us. When there’s other teams IE Chelsea and Man City who are blatantly breaking the rules but don’t receive half the scrutiny we have. This should have been settled when the verdict was released, but to change the rules and essentially have another go sends the wrong message to me. We’re no longer a threat to the top 6 and probably never will be again….. (two of those so called big clubs are doing a good job of ****ing up themselves anyway). You would think they would just accept that and move on, we’ve hamstrung ourselves and are paying the price for it. The problem is, and it may even be us who knows, but the EPL and EFL will end up driving a club into extinction by punishing them, or at least set them on the path the self destruction due to hefty punishments. Points deductions in some scenarios could be the difference between relegation and survival, and the financial implications of relegation can be catastrophic for some teams. I just struggle to see where the sustainability part of this comes in? It just seems to me that it’s a football enforcement team gagging to get one over clubs that have interrupted their exclusive party. What we’ve done to ourselves is unforgivable, and hopefully this will start to make the most devout clappers see how badly this club is being run. But, I just think the approach to this PSR FFP stuff is Wild West, the EPL know they can’t touch the big boys, so they will hammer anyone else they can get their hands on, this shouldn’t be the way…. If a club is struggling and making mistakes, wouldn’t it be more pertinent to try to remedy the situation through action plans and guidance? Rather than just keep taking points off clubs, potentially causing further damage, and then walk away into the sunset for bumslaps and beers. I just feel like there needs to be a better system in place that actually puts clubs back on track, rather than further derail them.

Still stands. The crooks of the rules are to prevent an “unfair sporting advantage”….. naturally we’re balling and Man City and Chelsea are in the gutter……..

This is what may spare us a hefty punishment. We can prove we’ve curbed the spending, and we’ve suffered two relegations in three years. So this may go into the considerations of the decision makers. What’s the point in punishing us heavily? We’re already on our arse.

It’s important to remember the PL don’t make the decision on points. They can push all they want, it’s not them who makes the final decision. So if we know we’ve breached, then we may as well go along with it and get snuggly with the independent panel and get a more lenient punishment.

I think I’m going to contact the club and have them cancel my season ticket. I think I’m done, first time in 28 years, Football has gone, and this club is dying and it’s being stabbed to death by the very bodies that swore to protect. Next year will see another relegation followed by a long battle with obscurity. Really treasure the last decade, it’s been monumental, but the ending is going to be catastrophic.

We’ve undoubtedly mate mistakes yes, and the board needs to be held accountable. The problem I have with this, is it’s a relentless pursuit of us, it seems to be all attention on us, and little on others. Even Man City appears to be getting away with it, and probably will…… And then they change the rules to suit them and come after us again? It just seems desperate, of I’m interpreting this right and that is what they’ve done, it’s not a very good measure of their rules and regulations is it? Normally that’s now how charging one of breaches works? Doesn’t work first time so let’s have another go? Just seems farcical. We may well have breached, but the ships sailed…..

I just don’t think the EPL will ever get over us winning the league, I don’t think they would be pursuing us as relentlessly as they have if we didn’t win the league and the FA cup…. When the reality is, we’ve done all of that spending less than the likes of Forest and Villa…… and yet we are the ones being relentlessly pursued, and we’ve been relegated now twice…… This isn’t the PL doing their due diligence, this is a witch hunt.

Just sat here thinking genuinely don’t care. I even sat there on Sunday just thinking how much I didn’t care…. Other than being there to see Vardy, the whole lot just left a sour taste in my mouth. This club is dead and buried.

Okay, well I don’t imagine it will be a significant punishment. After all like I’ve said the EPL and EFL don’t make that decision, an independent panel do, so even if it’s 6 points I wouldn’t be too fussed. It just appears to be more of a which hunt now than anything else……. It seems like they will continue to throw shit at until something sticks. I won’t be concerned until something happens.

Not defending the board for one minute. But this does all seem a bit sly and two bites of the same cherry? We’ve been cleared once, and now they’re coming back to counter our argument?

Can still win the league with minus six easily….. start off with wins on the bounce and that’s eradicated immediately. What is also important to remember is an independent panel makes the decision…… so irrespective of what the governing bodies want, they don’t have the final say.

What I’m trying to say is, the fact some fans are trying to suggest there’s a case for Ruud staying, and some implying that he’s been better than Cooper, when he really hasn’t, he’s been worse. The right answer is both have been a disaster, and we shouldn’t even be considering keeping Ruud, he has definitely been worse, taking into consideration our historic winless streak with no goals scored. It’s like arguing who you would prefer to baby sit kids between Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris………

What’s laughable, is he’s got the majority of those points post relegation? So what argument are you trying to put forward? Cooper was crap yes, but for the love of ****ing god, people are actually trying to argue something for Ruud? Are you mad? The whole scenario has been shit this season, but there is simply no argument to suggest Ruud has been as good as cooper, he’s been worse yet…… need you be reminded of the rancid record breaking run we’ve been on? You’re flogging a dead maggot riddled horse. Cooper was crap, but Ruud has been our worst ever manager. I genuinely can’t believe some people are trying to argue points post relegation is a positive?

The point is despite the squad being “woeful” Cooper at least got a tune out of them, and Ruud hasn’t even managed a squeak. Regardless of the squad Ruud has been appalling and can’t be the manager going forward, end of.

Steve Cooper didn’t lose a record breaking amount of games at home without scoring a goal. Ruud statistically has been our worst ever manager.
