Funny how that “identity” emerges when we’re relegated already? And those came against Southampton, Forest (who basically played with ten men towards the latter stages) and already relegated Ipswich……. That’s absolutely nothing to shout about.

We played another relegated team, who looked pretty tame. There’s no identity about this team at all.

Top never once went to him, spoke to him, or even looked at him. So I’d take that as a him gone.

The problem with the championship it’s the relentlessness of the games. They may be shit, but when you’re in a hole and they just keep coming and coming it’s very difficult to get out of the bad habits.

This is exactly what we DONT need…. This idea that we need a fix up is just lazy. Dyche is exactly the opposite to the type of manager we need. As many have said on here, we need to look for someone to progressively build over a period of time, someone with a long term vision, and the commitment to see it through.

I completely agree. Our opportunity was this season to not **** up, but unfortunately we haven’t. So I agree I think it’s more likely we do a Luton. You feel this season has well and truly knocked the stuffing out of the club, the sail has torn and the ship is sinking.

The problem with keeping Ruud on would be the current culture around the club, it’s rotten. He’s had a horrific stint here, and it would just seem more sensible to part ways and have a fresh start. The right manager will lift the place, and we say this with Enzo…. We’re still an attractive proposition, regardless of how we feel and think about our club at the moment, because there will be good managers out there who would see this as a career defining move and an opportunity to get us back on track, again, like Enzo proved. I think the correct decision would be to part ways with Ruud, purely because I think his experience here is so bad, I can’t see him recovering it.

Nothings ever concrete, but the person who normally gives me pretty good info when he can, said he had a couple of people he wanted in, and the club didn’t oblige basically. Not to mention the farcical transfer window….. essentially the club are terrified about PSR and FFP, to the point where we’re going to let it hamstring us, whilst other teams essentially **** it off and take the wrap. So we’re making even worse decisions now, like not bringing in a proper team for Ruud, and then not backing him in the window….. when you peel the onion skin back, even though he hasn’t done well, Ruud hasn’t been helped.

You have hit the nail on the head. Dyche is an unprogressive Luddite, and this isn’t a trait that is endearing for modern day football. His achievements largely came in a period where the Pep effect hadn’t progressed through the leagues, but it now has, and more refined football is swooping the nation. And how people can draw a correlation between us and Everton is just pointless, the situations are different. Everton have been clinging onto the arse hairs of the premier league like a dingleberry for four seasons, they’ve benefitted from having poor rivals, and the only team in that battle with an ounce of fight. That’s what Dyche is good at, he is basically a modern version of big Sam. He certainly is not the man to rebuild the football club, one that wants a progressive manager not one that will take the club back to the dark ages. What we need is an innovative young manager with a hunger and a desire to prove themselves and be brave enough to take risks on young players. We have has success this way through Brendan and Enzo (even though some seem to want to suggest Enzo wasn’t and then suggest Dyche)…… We need to revisit this, and make a careful considered decision and bring in a manager who fits this ideology.

I’m not saying we will, if we get the summer wrong we could even go down. But suggesting we’re worse than Southampton is just plain stupid. We clearly aren’t are we?

Southampton are ****ing shit, in every sense of the word…. Hence the 12 points. We’ve been bad this season, but we’ve not been that bad by any stretch of the imagination……. You’re just catastrophizing the situation… Southampton are in much worse shape than we are. We’ve made some major **** ups yes, but with a decent managerial appointment and a half decent summer I expect us to be in the race to win the league, that however, entirely depends on the decisions made at board level, not the state of the club.

The same Southampton that we easily beat? And we’re shit….

These are things footballers need to consider when joining a club. He was here before his baby was born, and if his wife wanted be closer to her home town post birth he should have requested a move away. I don’t want players living in London and playing here, he has also been completely disrespectful and lacked major class with the Enzo sign, as did anyone who was involved…. Winks can go, he’s not that good anyway and his attitude stinks.

I’d take Puel over Dyche. Puel can actually put a side together. His ceiling is just not very high.

I would say let’s refuse to comply with the clubs effort…. But fat chance of anyone doing that.
