  1. No surprise we are losing that midfield battle. Newcastle are just running through it at will. We’re not able to get a footing the ball to even try and control the game…. Was always going to happen having all of the starting midfielders out, only way we get anything out of this game is battle and hit them on the break. But they’ve got too much quality for that. I said it last week and some disagreed, but Skipp is ****ing dreadful.
  2. Never said this about Cooper, he was just generally shit.
  3. Perhaps Ruud wants impact off the bench if needed!
  4. Because Rodgers continued to play a high line, despite the fact we were getting pummelled like Pamala Anderson circa 90’ era.
  5. I can’t upload the image because my it’s too big, and I’m IT illiterate and can’t remedy it…… but, there’s a guy on Instagram who takes new shirts and puts old sponsors on it… he’s mocked up this seasons with the classic walkers logo…… link below. https://www.instagram.com/p/DDjcXRgoOq6/?igsh=MWZybG52djM1dTcyMw==
  6. Our defence is a massive issue, we concede a lot of chances, and we’re liable to conceding poor goals. If weren’t get anything at all, you’ll need to have an off day in front of goal, and we will have to turn the game into a battle. We’re still learning about life under Ruud, things are looking better and there looks like an actual plan, rather than whatever confusing shit Cooper was serving up….. but like any transition it takes time, and I feel like this may be one of those days where this shows.
  7. Barnes is a player who needs the flow of momentum to be on his side. He is devastating in a team that attacks in the transition. He’s a powerful runner with a wicked right foot. He’s never going to be about precision and finesse, he’s power through and through. He’s a rare kind of player these days, but he can be so devastating if the style of the football compliments his traits. Gordon will always be a better option as he has more about his game, and Newcastle are a team full of technically gifted players. Id take Barnes back in a heartbeat however, he’s exactly what we need this season.
  8. 70 minutes wasn’t the time to tune in was it……. They looked abysmal!
  9. Anything like the BBC and talk shite should be binned. They don’t know anything about football, and the topic of conversations are often redundant because whatever they’re talking about is utter bollocks……. Fan made podcasts are the way forward, real fans talking about real subjects and engaging with one another.
  10. Has anyone watched today’s training story on Instagram? If so, who is that unit at the end of the story in the passing drill? He is the furthest away on the video, I don’t recognise him, but he looks like a beast…….
  11. He doesn’t want to, and wants to fight for his place, allegedly.
  12. Speaking to a relative, this isn’t going to happen.
  13. He’s actually pretty quick when he gets going. One thing I’ve really enjoyed about his performances so far, is he is progressing through the pitch…. The lads build like a fridge, and if Ruud can tap into his confidence and maintain that, he could become the player we all thought we had signed.
  14. His confidence isn’t there at the moment. He is a willing runner which is why Ruud likes him. He gets himself into foot positions and I do think there quite a impactive player in there. He needs to be nurtured though, if we can get a winger through the door in January a loan move would benefit him I think.
  15. Him and Buonnaotte work well together, despite Buonanotte having an off day against West Ham, his pressing allows Bilal to float around in a dangerous area of the pitch…… he’s starting to really look the mustard now.
  16. Absolutely hideous today. Never want to see him play for us again.
  17. THAT run leading to the late free kick.
  18. De Cordova Reid, baby this evening. De Cordova Reid, baby tonight. De Cordova Reid, baby this evening. De Cordova Reid baby tonight…. To the tune of Donna Summers ‘Hot Stuff’
  19. They’re a mess defensively, but the potential thought of Barnes running at JJ makes me violently shit my pants. They’re beatable…. But at the same time they can be deadly. Depends which Newcastle turns up.
  20. My question to them is, what is the point in coming? Whats the point in spending all that money, to leave early…… do these same people go to the cinema and **** off with ten minutes left? There’s some people who would love to go to the footy, but can’t afford it, so why would you get tickets and then not stay to the end?
  21. The twats missed two goals…..
  22. I thought a point was fair, and I didn’t think the performance was all that bad. Brighton in all fairness didn’t impress me a great deal, they didn’t create hat fulls of chances, and I felt we didn’t defended badly as a defensive unit either. The first goal for me could have been avoided had Lamptey been closed down, you can’t just let a decent player have a pop unchallenged like that. You can see there are some nice passages of play, we’re trying to build properly, and I didn’t think we were too uncomfortable today playing out from the back, one or two moments but on the whole it was okay. What let us down today, was the midfield and the width. We missed Buonanottes energy and ability to press, which took something away from the attack, and Soumare had some good moments and then some horrific moments, he still has poor all round awareness and allows players to dun past him too easily, but then again he showed some moments of strong midfield play. We suffered when Ndidi went off, I thought he looked really good today, back to his old self! And Skipp was finally an abomination when he came on, he’s dog shit. The two goals we scored were good passages of play, and I think we deserved a point in all honesty, there were some good signs today, there’s an identify starting to come back, and with the return of the likes of Winks and Buonnanotte, we should be alright! Ayew was also disgusting today, just offered absolutely **** all, so I can see him disappearing once Ruud starts to build the team he wants. We’re a few agreed January signings away from being comfortable in my opinion. Happy with 4 points from two games, and there’s signs of things going in the right direction.
  23. Brighton are the type of team that if you let them play, they will all day long. If you get into them and press the defensive line they’re there to be got in my opinion.
  24. Bloke takes the seat off his bike because of the way that it felt.
