You can’t apply the same rule to every manager. Ruud so far has shown he’s a very capable coach, as a head coach he’s done very well, and as a number 2 he has worked in some top roles under some progressive head coaches and would have undoubtedly learnt a lot along the way. Just take Fabian Hurzeler as an example…. If he wasn’t already at Brighton and we were looking at him, I guarantee the same things would be getting said about him. This is where we see what Ruud is all about, regardless of what some think, we’ve got talent in this squad, if he can get the best out of them then he stands a chance of succeeding. Id much prefer we go for RVN, I’m bored of this so called house hold names, Moyes might have kept us up, but also his race might be run as a manager….. every appointment is a risk, and I’d rather we go for someone with a point to prove over a tired old boot with nothing left to prove.

People are overlooking his experience as a coach…. For which he has a lot of experience, working at a high level.

RVN credentials were better than Enzo’s when he arrived…. Also better than Coopers…. And no one had an issues with either of them joining initially. I would argue he’s ready now for a new challenge…. He’s proven that he is a more than capable manager, and is very tactically astute….. he’s an advocaat (pun intended). Of youth players…. He doesn’t lack experience, he’s had a couple of top jobs and has done really well. He’s also got bags of coaching experience. He’s an upgrade on Cooper that’s for sure, and isn’t that the point?

Hopefully he will be responsible for the second best performance from an attacker I’ve seen at the king power………….

Do you not think taking a risk is the best move? Is there such a thing as a safe pair of hands? What’s the point in relentlessly pursuing Potter? And Moyes, has he actually had his last hoorah? Ok happy for us to take a risk. Ruud’s coaching CV is impressive, he will command respect and will take no shit. He played aggressive football that will likely be entertaining. Bring it on.

RVN coaching credentials far surpass both Rooney and Lampard…… neither have the coaching experience Ruud has! Plus Ruud has performed very well as a coach, at a high level, something neither Lampard or Rooney have done.

He’s been coaching for ten years, in decent roles too…. So it’s not like he lacks experience!
