  1. Blackburn fans don’t think he will. They think he will carry on as normal. They’ve said they do leave themselves exposed and don’t seem to be able to score many goals at the moment.
  2. My mate (who’s a villa fan) couldn’t stop venting last night! He hates him 😂”Fat, immobile, unfit and couldn’t run a bath”…. His words.
  3. They will, it’s all reactionary and proactive. As a group they will guided by the manager, who won’t move away from his philosophy. Enzo and his team will probably think if most scenarios that arise in a game and have set plans to combat them, and then there’s the spontaneous scenarios too. Football isn’t a simple as having a plan A and a plan B anymore. The system is designed to be fluid. What you can account for is the quality of the opportunity….. Liverpool are in a different world to us at the moment. In terms of the Championship, since the international break, we’ve been quality, we’ve played some good stuff and have beaten some of the better teams.
  4. This plan B talk is utter nonsense. The plan is to play football in a way that Enzo wants too. What is plan B anyway? Lump it up field? Modern football is all about problem solving within a game, this is what the game has evolved into, having a “plan b” is all part of that philosophy, if something isn’t working the system can be tweaked with the plays on the pitch… the majority probably won’t recognise it because it isn’t smashing the ball into a channel or a big man. We will continue to play this way, mistakes will be made but eventually we will probably be fairly comfortable at this level and just dominate for 90 minutes, much like Bristol.
  5. I think the Liverpool game will actually help us. Keep the feet on the ground and the objective clear. I think the lads will want to get back to winning ways too after the defeat. I think Blackburn will give up a lot of chances, we just need to be clinical, and try and control the game. In other words….
  6. I just want to add to those who are posting what appear to be posts about the system, some claiming something is fundamentally wrong….. It isn’t…… some have suggested we’ve been riding our luck, since the international break, we haven’t. Before even analysing the performance, you can’t ignore ten changes…. Some of whom have barely played a minute for us. I thought it was a productive evening, we were never going to win with the team we put out, it was a good exercise for the guys Enzo to test the method against better opposition. It will be used as a learning curve and help Enzo further develop his system. We shouldn’t be bothered about cups, we should be focusing on the league and the league alone!
  7. Well done Liverpool for narrowly beating our second string team….. Couldn’t give less of a **** in all honesty…. We did okay with a vastly different team, players who won’t play for us ordinarily got a run out so it wasn’t a surprise we looked a bit disjointed at times. Not going to kick the cat, and the lads can generally feel fairly cheery with that. It’s a distraction we don’t need so **** it off and move on to the next game.
  8. But do we really have the players on show tonight to do that? I’d argue not. Tonight was about; Not getting battered Avoid any injuries See how other players cope in this new system Give minutes to those who need them and see how we fair against a better opponent. All in all I’m really not fussed, we’ve shown something, even with a much changed side, but ultimately we’re being beaten by a far better team at this time. Hopefully the group will take some confidence from tonight and carry it into the rest of the season. See how we fair in the FA cup when that comes around.
  9. Because 40% of them live in Leicester.
  10. Enzo won’t change his approach at all will he? It’s not a bad idea to try your style against a better opponent. Remember as well this isn’t even our best 11 either.
  11. People need to remember the sheer gulf in class here. Provided we don’t get mullered, I’ll be happy.
  12. Klopp has them in his hand, which is up the refs arse.
  13. I think he will want to see a half decent performance. As long as we don’t get thrashed I think he will be happy!
  14. It was shocking……. You’re not allowed to tackle the Liverpool players, it’s written in the “big six” guide book.
  15. People like Materface get employed because they’re bellends. Talk sport are probably the last unwoke entity that just employs self loathing middle aged men who can’t be anything but cynical about anyone other than a “top 6” premier league team. Their commentary is ****ing wank.
  16. Can’t be, it’s at Anfield?
  17. Not a chance we hang on here. I just hope we don’t get battered and it derail our league form.
  18. Scored too early for me!
  19. They will put the kids out more than likely, as will we. We will probably lose but I don’t think it will be a spanking!
  20. Not great for Doyle, but I think JJ is a better player so it may benefit us. But the lack of cover will cause us issues.
  21. Impressed with Hull, they’re a decent side, like you say set up properly and are difficult to beat and carry a threat. Stoke are absolutely rancid, like peering into the bowl of a services toilet, puddles of piss, few brown smears on the wall and a couple of nuggets that wont flush. Horrible football team.
  22. Stoke look absolutely shite. In fact, they look beyond shite.
  23. I agree, comfortably the worst we’ve seen. They just had nothing at all, in any department.
  24. I completely forgot they were there…. Odd analysis of the game….. had we been a bit more switched on in the final third we would have comfortably turned them over. I thought they were shite.
