I’d be absolutely stunned if we even managed a draw today….. they will come flying out of the blocks and probably go 2 or 3-0 up before we’ve even started…… just can’t see us coping with their aggression. -
Agree that it isn’t panic stations as of yet. We are a work in progress, but for me there’s more red flags than there are positive signs at the moment. And I just have this feeling this is the type of group what will just crumble….. there’s probably one positively strong personality in the group, and that’s Fatawu and he can’t rely on him to be the focal point, he’s too young. It’s early days, but I even thought Marti sounded fed up in his presser, he looked and sounded tired……

100%. The majority of the match day going fanbase would flab this team into the abyss. I’ve been trying to come up with a theory as to why, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason for it, other than our match attending fan base as a whole just aren’t passionate enough about the club….. is it because we potentially share it with the Tigers? It is it because we’ve inherited a different kind of match day fan since we won the PL? A lot of the long term fans I’ve been going with have packed it in, because they simply haven’t got the energy to sit and watch the club self destruct. But we’ve proven we can be passionate, the year we won the PL the place was bouncing…… in Europe it was bouncing….. Sheffield Wednesday should be a start reminder of how easily football can go wrong, and we’ve fallen from a much greater height than them…. I think sometimes it’s a shake of the state of the club, everything about it is crap. The match day experience is crap, the food and drink is crap, with that so is the service. The on field pre match and half time entertainment is none existent, the music played is largely crap. The place just feels like an energy less bowl at the moment, the match days just feel lethargic and tired. The club is in desperate need of a boost, because all we’re getting is bad news after bad news…. And the only way to do that is to change the ownership. Having said all of that, at least the academy is half decent….. but that could even be wasted if we’re not careful.

Can’t see us winning any of our next three to be honest. -
They’ve essentially paid for it, taken out a colossal loan to start it. It can’t be dead in the water because that’s essentially millions down the drain…… surely they have to start? Plus it’s to the clubs benefit if they build that indoor arena, that should be the priority.
-
You’re not wrong. People live in hope we will get another Enzo, but it won’t happen. Plus, if Marti gets sacked, isn’t that just another manager to get no backing in the January window because we’ve spent what little we had sacking the manager. The culture starts at the head of the organisation, that’s what needs changing.

I was working with someone yesterday who’s a Leicester fan. Drove past filbert street, and just said how much of a shame it was that there’s nothing but a car park booth and some blue railings left from Filbert street…… he didn’t even know what filbert street was……. He assumed we were in the KP forever. Made me feel ****ing old.

Yes, and potentially worse because they don’t have the colossal wage bill we still have for this level. We’re not going to go up this season, and we’ve got to really to help sort the finances out. The theory that a few years at this level will stabilise us is wrong, it won’t, it will mean our financial potion will continue to diminish and we will likely have to sell any saleable asset for cheap to just alleviate the financial pressure. We will also probably decide to start this expansion at the wrong time, placing us under more financial pressure. And if we do get a points deduction, we could end up being relegated depending on how severe it is. Our ownership isn’t far off Wednesdays, it would only take more financial pressure and I could see Top doing similar. For me, the writings on the wall, they’ve managed to **** up the clubs position on a biblical level, so I think it’s safe to assume in a few short seasons we could end up in a similar position to Sheffield Wednesday. Never say never, especially when our finances are as precarious as ours are.

Could well be us in 12 months or so.

This season could really end up being a monumental disaster. There’s no staying at this level to rebuild. It will end up being a financial disaster if we fail to go up, which looks incredibly likely. The board will likely forever be terrified to spend any money through fear of punishment, we will still be fighting to get useless players off our inflated wage bill, of which most will walk away for free, we will likely have to sell the likes of Monga for far, far less than we want for him to the likes of Palace because we will have no choice but to sell any young player worth anything. We will probably piss around starting the stadium expansion, and will end up being stuck at this level for the foreseeable with an empty extension, no saleable assets and the same arsholes running the club. The situation we’re in really is dire, and it’s entirely self inflicted by the willy pullers running this club. Nothing will change until the ownership changes.

He’s garbage. Literally offers noting at either end of the pitch. I don’t even think Victor is any worse, at least with Victor he is fit and will break forward…. He probably got one or two very minor better qualities than Thomas. To think some got on Chilwells back, he was 16 times the player Thomas is.

We could make eating an ice cream hard. If anyone could turn up and make Millwall look like world beaters it’s us. -

Problem with us we’re fragile, you get the impression we’re a glass vase perilously close to the edge of the shelf ready to fall at any moment. There’s more red flags starting to align and a bad result like last night could be enough to set off a chain reaction and it all comes tumbling down. You’re not wrong, we coped with your press well, but how much of that was an off day for you? Im not convinced at all, I’m just waiting for everything to go Pete Tong… -

We can’t deal with aggressive pressing. So all Millwall will have to do is be Millwall and they’ve got 3 easy points. We’re as weak as piss wet toilet paper. -
The writing was very much on the wall. We’re a poor team, the ethos within the team is poor, along with a poor attitude to boot. This will be your undoing at this level, you can be technically better than your opposition, but if you’ve not got he minerals to cope with the relentless competitive nature of this league, you’ll just get bullied week in week out. We’ve been playing badly all season, a smattering of acceptable performances and that’s been it. You can only get away with getting results off the back of poor performances for so long until that all stops, and it really felt like last night was that night. There’s no signs of improvement, things marginally picked up when Winks came back into the team, and He James and Ramsay are really the only three that produce anything. Fatawu our brightest player has actually been really poor……. He’s smashed a few in from 25 yards, but most of his work is wasteful, or we’ve not got the attacking quality to complement his creation. It’s hardly a surprise, as I said our pre season was horrific, poor preparation at any level will undo you. It will be interesting to see what the fallout will be at the weekend, Millwall will eat us alive, it could be a bit of a pasting.

Marti doesn’t help himself with some of the decisions he makes, but he too hasn’t been helped. It’s clear he’s been told something, because why would you just revert to playing shit like Faes? The guy plays like he couldn’t give a shit week in week out, yet continues to be played and continues to concede poor goals. The whole club is just on a downward spiral, Enzo arrested the decline just because he’s a ****ing good coach, and from day one didn’t come here and act like a rabbit in the headlights, he came here from day one and said “it’s my way or the highway, and I’ll leave if you want me too”…….. To manage this football club, you need to be a bastard, stick two fingers up to the useless board and just hope that you can let the performances and results do the talking. Otherwise Too and Rudkin clearly steer the ship, and we know that they’re incompetent and can’t do that. Part of me kind of hopes we get hammered with a points deduction, just to paper over the cracks of what is going to be a horrific season.

Toxic players? Toxic club. There’s an infection called King Power that needs to be removed before the club can start healing.

This is going to be ugly. They will ****ing batter us. -
He is a shit Rafa Benitez.

Most of the pre season with no new manager. No new players signed until deadline day, of which the three are loans, still have the core of the squad that relegated us, lost the clubs greatest ever player, and after having no new sponsor decide to go with a corrupt gambling firm again. None of this changes until King Power has gone. Going to be a humbling few weeks as we plummet down the table.
