  1. Some salty people on here šŸ˜‚
  2. Is he? He wants to play at the highest level for the betterment of his career? Got nothing against that at all. He’s not a Leicester fan, if he wants to leave he can rather than kick about in the championship!
  3. He will suit this league down to the ground……
  4. He doesn’t owe us anything. Wish him the best of luck, he’s a great player and will develop into one of the best. I’m happy to see him go to Germany, rather than another English club.
  5. Only accepted the bid because we’ve been given the green light to bring players in….. so hopefully some movement is going to happen!!
  6. We were sniffing around home last season weren’t we? He’s quality.
  7. I can’t keep up with all of these names…..
  8. I recall someone on here saying we essentially stole Monga from Coventry?
  9. The lads ****ing garbage. Why are we pissing around looking at him?
  10. Very true, some really technically gifted players emerging from Scandinavia.
  11. Can we start serving meatballs?
  12. He was really poor last night. The assist was a poor ball that Fatawu turned into a chance. I’m all for playing youth, but as @TJB-fox said, he was miles off it yesterday, and it was a massive part of our attacking woes last night. It’s a position that needs sorting ASAP.
  13. He’s a pure athlete, and brilliant at defending, but **** me, the lad couldn’t pass someone on the stairs let alone a football. If Faes doesn’t leave, he has to come back in for me. I like Okoli, but that passing ability, or lack thereof will come back to bite us later in the season.
  14. 100%. Our attacking play is a major issue. It’s the lack of movement that’s most alarming. But, like you say, Marti has made us more organised. Im going to credit him though, I think he’s recognised we’re a bit disjointed at the moment, so rather that aimlessly beavering away at something that isn’t working, he’s made us gritty and is grinding out results. Hopefully, whilst working on the more possession base of the game in training. It can be easy, when there’s so much disharmony in the team at the moment, he’s leaning on those who want to be here and is creating a positive environment. So far, I’m really impressed with how he is handling this situation.
  15. No, however, I actually thought he should have done better, he could have toe poked it from the first press when the ball came loose, or looked like he went to round the keeper instead. I agree they can’t, but I think Ayew doesn’t all at the wrong times, he won’t press when there’s an opportunity to do so, but will when there isn’t. He works hard, but not necessarily in the right areas of the pitch. He still doesn’t release the ball quick enough, and tends to want to scrap for the ball rather than laying it off. Don’t get me wrong, he’s not dreadful, and he is contributing, I just wish he used his streetwise more effectively, because he can. It’s an odd one because you can’t fault his effort, but there’s elements of his game that don’t make sense, and he just creates issues for himself and stifles our attack….. He’s very erratic in game, I would just like a bit more in game consistency from him, he did however look a lot better when Daka was on pressing, it game him the space to work in.
  16. It was a gritty win, with some moments of quality. Still majorly concerned with the midfield two and the ten. First half was infuriating, you could see Birmingham were uncomfortable on the ball, and we could have created more opportunities by pressing them, as soon as we started doing that, they couldn’t cope. The midfield two, whereas they didn’t do much wrong today, are just so passive in possession, and there’s a real lack of movement off the ball, there’s no dropping into holes, give and goes or quick recycling of possession, it’s all slow and ponderous, and kept getting us into trouble at times. It needs sorting, because we were resorting to smashing balls into channels and for Ayew to try and scrap for rather than building through the middle of the pitch. There is fight evident in this group, and the ability to scrap, but we’ve certainly not been completely obsessed with one way of winning. Marti deserve credit for this, it’s clear he’s tweaked the team after the Preston defeat to make us more resolute, he knows that we’ve got the individual quality to win tight games, so for now he’s grinding the results out which, is what you need in this league. I will however have my say on Ayew, he infuriates me still… just doesn’t release the ball quick enough, and at times out of possession, his lack of press and even attempts to win the ball back was really harming us. He is so erratic, for five minutes he will press and he will get stuck in, then for five minutes he will stick his arse out, slowing the game down and trying to win free kicks. I would still rather not play him if we had the choice, he’s fine off the bench, but he just doesn’t offer enough of a threat…… he’s the type of guy who would set a house on fire, just so he could save everyone. He creates his own issues and then fights to resolve them…. But it doesn’t make us threatening… Don’t get me wrong he wasn’t terrible, he works hard enough but seems to work hard for no reason of that makes sense? Overall though, better… more cohesive. It makes me confident that just a couple of signings would make all the difference with this team.
  17. Watching Soumare and Skipp try to grip that midfield is going to be comical….
  18. He’s just pulling names out of a hat now….
  19. ā€œWe’ll shit ā€˜emā€.
  20. It’s going to be Bamford isn’t it.
  21. Leeds fan I’ve spoken to says he was their best player, comfortably…..
  22. Spencer would be happy with this.
