As poor as it was, I still think that we could be a lot better with three solid signings to form up that spine. Elements of this team are excellent, but with some glaring weaknesses, but those weaknesses lose you games. This isn’t the case at all, Ayew holds onto the ball for far too long. He doesn’t release it fast enough, there were countless opportunities to get the ball out to the winger quicker, but he doesn’t do it. He slows the play down and stifles out attack.

Ayew needs binning. He’s a major issue and one of the main reasons we’re so poor in the transition. He holds onto the ball for too long, and gives it away far too often. We got away with it today because Charlton are shit, but on Friday we will get munched alive by Birmingham.
