We need a Brian Little. His team in the early 90s is what I’d like to see. Didn’t have a lot to spend and turned us around.

We have looked better under Rowett. If we had a half competent striker we would have probably stayed up. He can only choose from the players he had available. And not throwing every young kid in that shows any promise was probably the correct decision, because it keeps them away from the toxic environment and hopefully next season there will be no hangover after we shift the dross. Also, what is absolutely key, is we have a manager in BEFORE pre season starts to give them half a chance of getting the team fit.

Not played a game for about 15 months, can see he is rusty but is miles ahead of the other centre halves we have got.

Surely if we sell a player for let’s say 5M pounds and they’re on 50K a week ( figures are for arguments sake), and we use the transfer fee received to service running costs of the club and replace that player with a free transfer we should surely be able to afford wages of around 15-20K a week? And still save money on the original wages.
