  1. Shut down earlier this year
  2. I get the feeling there are still a few with a chip on their shoulder over the League One season. They were pretty overconfident then too - Steve Howard's header completely derailed them at the business end. Imagine bottling a playoff Semi to Millwall and then watching them lose to the mighty Scunthorpe in the final.
  3. Like others have said, we'll forget about this temporary rivalry pretty much overnight. They won't though, and that's what's funny about it. Guaranteed you'll have them bringing it up when we next play them 8 years from now
  4. The benefit Brighton have over where we were two years ago is that their finances have never been better. They can afford to spend this window to strengthen. The real question is - do they trust de Zerbi to do that? Does he have the eye for a player to improve them?
  5. No Brendan means I'm already enjoying this season than the last two at this level. Yes, I know we haven't kicked a ball yet. My point stands.
  6. You had me thinking Jamie Vardy had discovered the elixir of youth for a second there
  7. Admittedly it was a lot less fun when the wheels started to come off, starting with the loss at their place. All's well that ends well though. Seeing them cry at Wembley and blow their playoff hopes with some pathetic own goals was just the tonic.
  8. Yesssssss And all thanks to a dodgy scuffed offside pinball goal, Leeds are going to love that
  9. Don't think Sevilla is going to be topped any time soon for me, but Southampton ran it ruddy close. Maybe the secret is to play teams beginning with S every week? I was too drunk to properly remember most of Everton before the ceremony, except for Bocelli and bursting out crying tears of joy when Kingy scored. I intend to do exactly the same against Blackburn if Vardy bags after a liquid breakfast.
  10. Being able to watch the clown show that is the Premier League from a distance certainly gave me a fresh perspective. Might be the shine of last night giving me a blinkered view, but I don't think I'll be half as bothered if the storm to come does relegate us again. I'm going to miss celebrating goals as they go in. Going to grounds we've not seen in years. Seeing a 37 year old smash the league. Going toe to toe with the 'Best Team In The League™️' and a random League One outfit for the title. Lots to take in, that you just can't replicate in the top flight. I know it was always absolutely vital we got promoted, for our financial security as much as anything, but I'm really going to miss this batsh*t-crazy league. Wouldn't want to be stuck here for the long term, but part of me wishes we could do it all again next year.
  11. Just did some stats crunching and the last time a team got 90 points or more and didn't get automatic promotion was Sunderland in 1997-98. I don't believe it's ever happened to anybody with more on the board. It's potentially going to make Leeds, the "best team in the league", the first team to do so in 26 years. Because a random team from League One showed up and put together what in half of the past 10 campaigns would have been league-winning form. Please, please smash Cov and do the business to consign them to the Playoffs. It will be the funniest thing ever.
  12. Your mission is clear. Smash Cov and then join the party.
  13. Was I watching a different game? Thought he played well, even without the goal. We could have used his energy when we were running out of ideas a month or two back. I'll be surprised to see him feature much next season, but would be glad for him if he gets a loan somewhere to develop - with the option to recall if needed like we've had with Barnes and KDH in the recent past. Enzo clearly rates him to still have him in ahead of the returning Alves.
  14. The lack of Peter Beagrie certainly helps, I was worried when we went down that the miserable sod was still involved in their coverage.
  15. That's the fastest i've seen him move all season too
  16. Neil Lennon basically telling him "sign the f***ing extension"
  17. Take a bow, all 5,500 of you. What an end!
  18. Been saying it all season I'll say it again for the FT history books MEGACUM
  19. "Leeds are in the playoffs"
  20. YAY KASEY!!!!!
  21. Two comically epic goals for the GOAT <3
  22. If it isn't Vards, would love Kasey to score the goal that bags the title. Glad he's back in the fold!
