  1. This is going to be an absolute meme of a game regardless of how it turns out. All aboard Mr Cooper's Wild Ride
  2. "Now give Man City a 30-point deduction"
  3. Yeah this means they don't need Buonanotte, right... right? We can keep him?
  4. Those results were bang on really. Perhaps woulda preferred a draw for Wolves, but it'll cheer @The Bear up so i'll allow it.
  5. Just realised there's yet ANOTHER international break coming up.
  6. It was a crap decision, but couldn't help but laugh at people on the BBC HYS deriding VAR for being "woke".
  7. It feels like the BBC have been overcompensating ever since they gave Cliff Richard a trial by media
  8. And in the same goal that Villa boy Marc Albrighton made history, too
  9. A sick part of me now wants him to turn up to the Man Utd game in lipstick, a miniskirt and bunny ears
  10. Well, that's Ukraine knackered then. Better start pumping our own military budget before things in Europe really go tits-up.
  11. Bouba, bouba, Boubakare Soumare He used to be lazy, we thought he was shite But he runs like Toure so now he's alright Boubakare Soumare
  12. I'm not against it per sé, when you have solid defenders who back their own ability you can allow it. Morgan and Huth's league-winning partnership was exactly that - though it helped that they had Simmo rarely venturing forwards, to provide a third body where needed. Vesty is not on that level, but there's definitely method in the madness - set yourself up, win the ball back and use your passing range to start our own attack. Give him a run in the team and I can see our overall play improving if he's allowed to play the quarterback role (i cringed typing that last bit - with apologies to @foxile5).
  13. Didn't realise Big Ange does those stupid mini-handclaps, get in the bin.
  14. I just pray he doesn't end up contracting the dreaded 'Demarai Gray Syndrome', in which he plays a blinder from the bench, gets a starting place and then has 9 stinkers which actively weaken the team before he's dropped again... until the next impressive cameo 4 months later. Scientists remain baffled by this phenomenon and have sent teams as far afield as Saudi Arabia to try and get a definite answer as to why it happens.
  15. I'm obviously a sucker for punishment but I do genuinely believe that once Daka comes back he'll be more effective in this system than he was in Enzoball, where his lack of nouse really exposed his limitations in a possession setup. If Cooper can somehow tease a more clinical side out of him we're laughing, because these off the shoulder runs and one-twos as seen today for Ayew should play to his strengths. We've already seen Vardy score a 'classic' against Palace and he really should have bagged one against Bournemouth too. And that's having clearly lost a yard or two of pace, which in theory Patson still possesses if his injury wasn't too severe. That Vardy was able to adapt his game to still perform under Enzoball (and, relegation season aside, under Rodgers too) is testament to his desire and ability. But he's 38 and it's frankly absurd we're looking at him remaining first choice all season with so much on the line. We need to rotate, and in this system I'd rather give Patson another go as a like-for-like with the two sharing 70/20 mins in alternate games than see much of Edouard, who I'm not sure is going to offer much at all besides maybe a hint more at set pieces. Whatever happens, we can't afford to run the GOAT into the ground and risk a long layoff with injury, which could even be career-ending at this point.
  16. I think folks saying we should be rocking up at Portman Road and rolling them over are talking out their arse, or at the very least aren't the most observant. Today we played basically the same team that laboured to two draws against them, and ended the season just the one point ahead of them in the Championship table. There was a lack of respect then and it's very clearly continuing now. Personally I don't see much difference between how those ones panned out and how it did today - we arguably had the better chances but gave them a shedload too, and a draw is probably a fair result on paper. That said, refreshing to be the ones spawning late points against them rather than their endless run of late winners / equalisers. They're still a team with some talented individuals, though admittedly I'm surprised at Hutchinson's struggles in stepping up, thought he was quality last year, but I guess like Mavididi who he was regularly compared to he's just not been anywhere like consistent enough this season. Hoping we both stay up to be honest, but that's a big point in keeping daylight between us and them - we'd have been one dodgy weekend away from being caught, but as it transpires we now have breathing space with a five point gap. Not looking good for them now unless they can claw themselves to that vital first win like Southampton.
  17. He's done more in a Leicester shirt today than he has at any point, bar the false dawn of that Wolves game. As I did with Vesty -- and hope to do with Daka when he's back - I will gladly hold my hands up and say I was wrong if he turns around his career here, because more of THAT and he'll feel like a new signing. As it stands though, he needs to do that EVERY game to win me round. The difference with Vesty and Patson is that they at least give off the vibe that they're triers, just lacking in something (pace, confidence, footballing intelligence in Daka's case). In Bouba's case, it's been a case of him genuinely looking like he gives zero shits about anything. He can't even use the "I'm French" laissez-faire excuse - we remember this geezer and his passion - He's one of the few players over the years I've grown to genuinely hate, which is just tragic especially if there's a reason he's been such a half-arsed twat for so long. I think I need a goal from him and a full Akinbiyi shirt-rip before I start to warm to him. But I will begrudgingly accept that - so far - his redemption arc under Cooper is gaining traction. I might even hold in my groans the next time he comes on...
  18. Any video of the ends for either Kettering or Market Harborough today? Would love to see the scenes, especially full time at Sixfields. BBC coverage as crap as ever, televised game and they've uploaded bugger all, I had to go to Reddit to find the equaliser.
  19. Part of me is thinking a Kettering vs Market Harborough tie would be quality, if only to know that one or the other could realistically face us in round 3. Then again, I want them both through to double the chances of such a juicy tie!! Massive congrats to both teams today, what it's all about!
  20. mad game! And a draw does us just fine
  21. Without his contributions today and at Southampton, we'd currently be sat on 7 points and sat 17th, level on points with Ipswich and outside the relegation zone only on GD. Unironically the difference for us this season. He's not pretty on the eyes but I kind of love him.
  22. Turned 1 point into 3 at S'ton, 0 into 1 today. 3 points.
  23. 3 points that beautiful bastard has earned us now
