I've thought Stephy has been doing well defensively? Certainly helping Thomas ease into the game more than he has been doing in recent games for VK. -

Thomas being in three relegated squads in two and a half seasons of Premier League football is quite some accomplishment when you think about it. -
I'm from Charnwood mate, I only lived there for two years I'll let @Jattdogg field that one

I really upset some Chelsea nerds on Reddit last season when I pointed out that he was an obvious weak link in our team at Championship level, and that it showed what a mess they were that he was even making their bench. Apparently I was ungrateful and should kiss the ring for them even daring to let him grace our turf. Just a really, really average footballer without any obvious strengths or redeeming qualities. But he's on Chelsea's books so his stock is higher than it should be. He'll keep getting loans to second-tier clubs until it eventually becomes obvious that he's never going to make it in the top flight. A bit like a slightly less extreme version of Man City managing to pawn out Ryan McGivern to club after club before people caught on that he was shit.

I like Hamza, but the barrage on social media since he declared for Bangladesh has me ready to accept the first bid that comes in for him. If you put the Mahrez and Daka fanboys in a blender, you'd get the Bangladeshi ones that have suddenly discovered he exists in the last two weeks.

Moments like those make me even more angry that we pissed away points against Wolves by choosing Danny Ward ahead of other options

The morons in Leicester East didn't exactly help dispel the myth. The only Tory gain in the entire country while they were collapsing everywhere else.

I certainly haven't forgotten them racially abusing Lloyd Dyer during the Knockeart game. That started at 2-2, he got the last laugh. And the less said about the two decades they spent calling us a 'town full of [derogatory term for people from Pakistan]', the better. Vile bunch.

Ward lets that in

All the more reason to hound the ownership for their inaction in clearing out the rot in our squad. I still have PTSD from a back line including Ward, Faes and Amartey embarrassing us for a full season, and 2/3 of them are now still getting regular minutes two years later.

This. Mads saves all three of those. As he has been doing all season. From what little I saw of Iversen when he finally played in 22-23, he saves at least 2 of them. Ward has come in and let 6 goals in in 135 minutes of football, 4 of which were at least partially - if not entirely - down to him having the spatial awareness of a last-minute Christmas shopper and the wrist strength of a cheesestring. The team performance was rancid, but any competent goalkeeper at least makes it difficult in those situations. Ward actively makes it easier, and that feeds through to the entire team, and the crowd mood. There is zero confidence in his ability from anyone either in front of him or around him, which has a negative effect on the entire outcome. I dislike xG as a stat but f*** me, 0.41 resulting in 3 goals really is damning. In normal circumstances Wolves would have taken more than two full games to find the back of the net a single time with the quality of chances they had. RVN can defend him publicly all he likes - if he chooses to play him again, he will have the crowd turning on him even faster than Cooper did. That is no exaggeration, because I don't think I've ever known a more unanimous opinion amongst the matchgoing fanbase than the agreement that he should be nowhere near the pitch for us ever again. It's very rare for the crowd to openly turn on a player. The last time I can remember was Ben Marshall under Pearson, when he pretty much told us to FOAD while strolling lazily over to take a corner. Pearson dropped him and he barely saw the grass for us ever again.
