Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

But really that's a stupid argument from the commission to comply with some made up bullshit rules. So you aren't meeting your business targets, 'sell your best assets', its compounding the problem and exactly why the rules are shit. Actually I WANT to meet a target for my business, sense doesn't say reduce investment, business sense says increase investment! the very last thing you are going to do do is effectively get rid of your best sales person! -

Its difficult to know but hasn't roughly 30 million been put down to pay of Rodgers and co, obviously that wasn't accounted for? Top 4-6 was maybe a pipedream, but a midtable finish wasn't out of the question had Rodgers selected the best players he had available. It was also a massive panic to sign Souttar, Kristainsen and Tete. The wage bill was pretty stupid and the recruitment was bad, the wrong people were definitely in those roles. It will be interesting to see how Brighton go on, particularly if they sign a £40 million player. Its very easy to go from a club that challenges to nothing with a few bad decisions, last year they were looking on a similar trajectory to us under Rodgers. Maybe the new manager has enough to turn that around and was done at the correct time. Brentford looked pretty devoid of ideas last season and I cant see how they suddenly start spending 40 million. Commercial and infrastructure wise for a multimillion pound business the club has been a joke for a long long time, including under Vichai. I dont know if this is just a general incompetence in football but there are very few multimillion pound businesses that would be so awful at service, customer relations, internal support services and systems. -
Id tell him, here is our deal. Accept by the end of the week or fook off. Thank you.

We tried to comply but I think relegation which wasn't forecast for and sacking Rodgers and FA Cup winning manager with consistent European campaigns, also not forecast for was difficult, particularly when they did try to appease him one final time. The biggest error was persisting with that clown for so long. I think now we are of the opinion the inconsistency and general ambiguity and anti competitive nature of the whole thing needs to be challenged. Circumventing a stupid rule, probably means they will just close the loophole. Fundamentally the whole thing is complete rubbish as it stands. Im not against something being in place, but it probably has to be a global decision or at least European one, and the big clubs are unlikely to ever support something that creates a genuine level playing field. This thing certainly isn't that. Also the EFL and EPL need to have some consistent logic which they don't. What they are doing at present is creating a bigger gap between the Premier League and EFL which is probably intentional. There wont be many more Ipswich stories. -
I cant really see how Brighton or Brentford are spending 30-40 million on one player. Its unsustainable for any of the non cartel to do such things. If they do they wil lprobably where we are in a years time unless someone bins this nonsense off.

I think there is a strategy, the strategy is the rules are bullshit and we will ignore and fight them. Which I think is a fair strategy. I dont know why some of so insistent in complying with such a wanky set of rules that are so inconsistent and incoherent. Other clubs are making loopholes, its unsutainable and claerly doesnt work. All it does is protect the red cartel from challenges. -

Because quite frankly the rules are so incoherent and mind bendingly inconsitent and stupid that we actually dont have to. Obviously our original plan relied strongly on not being relegated but we were, I suppose the plan for the EFL was to get out of it quickly which likely brings in more income than if we had stayed there. The club either feel they have a pretty good case against the rather stupid rules, which I think they do, or we have complied by some miracle. The fact we didnt complete the Sensi deal suggests we must be relatively close if it were felt that 2m would make a difference. -
Group E: Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine

I think the Belgian core of our team and it's lack of general ****s was why we got relegated. Talented but often not arsed. -
I think we hope that PSR will be found out in the courts for the sack of unenforcable stupid corrupt shite that it is. Its made up inconsistent nonsense designed to protect the Red cartel.
-
Can see him ending up at Everton , very few Euro clubs will match us for wages.
-
If we could get rid of Faes anywhere for some money, maybe more than we paid, that would be a remarkable result for a distinctly average player!
-
American owners love this franchise crap. American sports maybe nteresting to Americans but I find them pretty dull. I really dont want them getting their grubby hands on football.
-
Cant we just make a decent shirt once every 2 years instead of a shit one every year? In a supposed time of ethics, sustainability and green thinking should we by importing and more sweatshop nylon tat? Even the compnanies that make the shirts are stuggling. Its actually impossible for them to justify 70 quid once a year for a shirt that costs them 2 quid to make.
-
Ill drive him to Barcelona for free, if we can get 20 million for him.
-
But Sheff Utd sold their best players to comply with FFP. They were onto a loser because of the stupid rules, which is kind of the problem.
-
It would be nice if we went back to the proper club structure like under Pearson, proper focus on set pieces, fitness, sports sciences, psychological performance, analysis, all things which can give you a slight edge as a weaker team. Focus on finding hidden gems, rough diamonds and develop them into a team with moral and fight. The first season we were promoted last time, there weren't too many games where we completely outclassed, they were very fine margins.
-
I think Rodgers did something to the morale of the players when he was stinking the place out too. Something was seriously wrong as that squad never should have been relegated. I think Tielemans was the only Leicester Belgium player I ever felt had a good attitude towards us, other than the final season.
-
Love him for that goal cancelled out by the half arsed performances last season
-
How did we manage to get relegated with 4 Belgium internationals? Rodgers is a pratt!! That said Faes is a bombscare!

The inconsistency of the two sets of rules is also stupid and probably questionable legally, how can a relegated club forecast to comply with Championship rules, especially if it doesn't predict being relegated, which basically anyone outside the cartel is one bad decisions away from. It's very difficult for a Championship team to compete in the Premier League now after promotion due to them have a lower loss allowed in total compared to a shite team at the bottom of the prem. When they get relegated the EFL will go after them. It's a total cluster****. The sooner is dismantled by some lawyer the better. It's completely giving American franchise type owners exactly what they want, a closed shop. -
I'd definitely get rid of Faes, problem is he's a bit shit. Hopefully someone stupid will buy into the fact he is a Belgium international. I could see Cooper liker Souttar and Coady.

Was gonna say looks like a steaming turd...quite apt

Surely the best bet is to sell the training ground or some other asset to dome bullshit made up company. To be honest I feel the club miss out on Machday revenue and commercial quite a bit, some people would hate it I'm sure, but why not create a kind of King Power duty free type experience in Leicester, quite unique, have bars selling Thai beer, bit of thai street food, some restaurants etc. They must have the purchasing power. The club seem so bad a being commercial whether they don't really have to be very savy due to Thailand being a bit of a closed shop I don't know but you think these skills were pretty basic. -

It's an absolute joke. If they really want to make tge game fairer make sure the scouse scum compensate us based on any future success of our talent, say 10 million every year they finish top 4 or whatever. Won't happen but still, you want fair and sustainable that's it, Man Utd with 700million debt isn't. -

Foxin_Mad replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
But currently it is about whoever can generate the biggest revenue and profit. Obviously the cartel are in a position to make a lot more revenue than a provincial club from the Midlands, due to historic success during times of unrestricted spending. So these rules don't help this either, especially when a number of clubs a blatantly doing dodgy but 'legal' deals to comply, with idiotic rules created by morons. Obviously clubs like United, Arsenal and Liverpool don't want a level playing field. Man Utd have more debt than half the football league, yet that's fine (sustainable allegedly). Liverpool can poach young talent and pay peanuts, thats fine, to meet the rules we have to sell our best academy products? Honestly wtf? The solution probably needs to be global wage restrictions, the only way to make it truly fair is to make it a genuine level playing field. Anything restricted to size of club makes gaps bigger. I don't think the PSR rules are helping. You have Sheff Utd sell their best players last year and stink the league out to comply. People say recruit better and have better academies but all that is at risk from cartel poaching and them being able to afford to pay and spend more on the best players under the dumb rules. You basically have big 6 clubs sucking up any talent, loaning them out and flogging what doesn't make the grade. People say well Leicester should use the loan market, I disagree - loan players are never going to be as committed as a player on the clubs books and that's an issue too. Football is broken currently, PSR is not helping. It shouldn't necessarily be unrestricted but it needs to give smaller clubs a means to compete.
