Can anyone explain the Benkovic situation? Rodgers had this lad on loan at Celtic and played him yet despite the fact we are literally trawling Filbert Way for victims to fill our bench a full international centre back that's on our books and right now fills the exact void we are so desperate to breach can't even get a seat on the bus.

I have to say that I don't agree. In my opinion there are times during a season where a manager has got it selection or tactically wrong from the first whistle, the game doesn't pan out the way you anticipated or you have some bad luck and get punished. In addition it might be that the set up and style have been negated by the opposition tactics or one or two players are having a stinker of a game, and when some of this is the case and a game is going to end in getting nothing from it what is the harm in having something different on the bench? Nothing ventured nothing gained? Maybe it won't end up working out but at least you've challenged the opposition and given them something else to think about, something outside of the realms of the preparation that they have done, and yes at times something simpler and a bit more 'industrial.' Plenty of managers have done it with great success down the years for example look at Alex Ferguson's record with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from the bench. If my memory serves me right it won them the European cup. And yes I absolutely agree that the lack of urgency and insistence in fidgeting the ball around the back four when we are losing with only a few minutes left is absolutely infuriating and I'm baffled as to why Rodgers is not up on his feet and screaming at them to get it forward.

I was against safe standing initially. However having studied it's use in other countries and also understood it will be an option within certain areas then I think it does no harm so why not? My only concern would be if there was no option to sit at away matches anymore, that would be a physical problem for me and some others I'd imagine.

The referee got Groves in a head lock that allowed Froch to punch him in the ribs! No only was it probably the worst decision by a boxing referee I can recall by memory he didn't even stop a fight properly! He should have walked in between Groves and Froch to protect Groves from any further punishment if he really did think that he was in trouble, which he wasn't.

Having seen the stoppage and heard what the scorecards were there is only one conclusion for me, that was bent. Froch may have got a dodgy stoppage but Groves was the real winner. Now watch Frotch duck the rematch take a mug as a voluntary defence and hang his gloves up before Groves gets the change to finish him off properly.

Don't believe everything you read, some of it might be bollocks? Whilst I agree they were negligent to leave their kids in a roadside unlocked apartment unattended they have also had opportunity since the media lost interest in the case to let it all die down and fade away if they really had been responsible for what happened to their daughter. The fact they keep bringing it back up and into the media gaze to try and find her tells me they are not responsible.

It exists there under another name, they did sell it as Fosters until about 10 year ago I think when another brand under the same umbrella gained popularity but it's all the same piss water under different labels.

Someone at the Wycombe game tried to start a song about Wes Morgan to the tune of the hokey cokey. It went "You put your Black foot in, your Black foot out" God help us all. I just turned on the TV and it happened to be on an interview with Chris Eubank. A Sky Sports Ringside special. Age seems to have ebbed away the arrogance and left behind what is a thoughtful, wise, honest, moving and fascinating man to listen to. He inspired me this morning. How lucky we were to witness the Benn / Eubank / Watson / Collins era. I was always and still am a huge Nigel Benn fan, but Eubank went up hugely in my estimations today.

Sky Sports left British Basketball almost destitute when they pulled the plug on TV coverage some years ago. They should be backing the BBL with live coverage, it seems back on the up despite being stitched up by them.
