Yes really. After battling against Roma to sign Soule I thought that was the calibre of player we would be after, and then seeing O’Riley heavily linked with Southampton would be a kick in the teeth because he would’ve been the perfect replacement for KDH (who we still haven’t replaced). I would’ve expected players like Hamer, Chair etc to fill that creative void and who also wouldn’t have been too expensive. I actually think this could be up there with one of our worst windows if it ends with us signing Ayew.

Golding, whose never played higher than the u23s, De Cordova Reid, Okoli, now potentially Ayew.. What an utterly embarrassing window that is. Obviously I know theres still time but bloody hell..

We need some solid transfer news in these next few days. We’re getting on for 2/3 weeks before the start of the season and we’ve only got 3 new players, 2 of them won’t end up even starting and we’re also without our main playmaker in KDH. I get we need to be patient but even Cooper himself keeps saying how he wants them in quicker to integrate them in. Really really hope we see some more movement soon.

I very much like this idea. A lot of threads just get opened despite it being from the most dodgy source with no substance to it. Which is why, if I’m ever posting anything I will put it in the transfer rumours thread if I don’t think it is from a reliable source. I agree with people saying Ornstein should be Tier 1. I would also add Mike McGrath and Matt Law from the Telegraph. They often do stories with Percy and are very reliable. Im sure some more names will come to me for the other tiers when I come across them from my endless hours of twitter.
