Firstly, apologies if this isn't the right place to post, it's a mix of sport/holiday/general chat so I'm torn trying to decide the best place. My question is... I'll be going to the US for the first time in October, it's always been a dream of mine to watch an NBA game but I accept that may not be possible as I cannot see the schedule this far in advance and my flights are already booked, I was wondering if anyone has been to watch any sports teams of any kind in San Fran or LA? I'm a big fan of sport in general so i'd be happy to consider any options that are suggested. I did look at LA Galaxy but it seems their season ends the weekend I get there so that'll be a no š If anyone has any ideas of where I could go i'd be happy to hear them š Thanks, Ell

For all of you who were raving about the Big Mac sauce in the 'Ben and Hamza' thread... McDonald's to sell Big Mac special sauce dipping pots for a limited time https://qsrmedia.co.uk/food-services/news/mcdonalds-sell-big-mac-special-sauce-dipping-pots-limited-time

I agree, I 100% think something should be done to honour him, and this idea is great in my opinion but as you say it may be better to make this decision at another time and explore other options first. I've signed the petition nonetheless, not sure if it will lead to anything but we'll see š

Kobe Bryant Dies in Helicopter Crash
E.Rose replied to Molson Canadian's topic in General Football and Sport
I was talking about the same with a friend last night on how rickety the things can be. They canāt be that safe, I donāt think Iāve ever heard of anyone making it out safely from hele crash before? I bet faults happen far more than people realise. Plus they look difficult enough to fly as it is let alone when youāre battling with a fault, youāve literally got no chance. We as a club have already felt the impact on a devastating scale, and now many of us are feeling the same type of emotions from this recent disaster, I for one will not be going in one again and Iām sure many others wonāt be either. I know everything in life has a risk but this is a risk you can choose to avoid. -

Here lists all nine victims of the incident. https://news.sky.com/story/kobe-bryant-death-who-were-the-nine-victims-killed-in-helicopter-crash-11919234 So sad for all of them, another 2 teenagers lost their lives with at least one parent with them at the time, one of the girls had both parents with her, they will be leaving behind two siblings who have lost not only their mother, but their father and sister also. All of it is just so horrible -
No worries, yeah 2k-ish would be fine each; Iāve put some costs below to give you an idea of where most of your money is likely to go but most of your expenses will be on travel and accommodation as expected. Iāll let you research accommodation prices as it will vary depending on where youāre staying and what type of place you want to stay at. Please take these as rough costs; it was a few years since I went so my memory on what I spent isnāt spot on. Travel: As mentioned before please consider getting a Japan Rail Pass, they may seem pricey but letās say you did the trip from the airport to Tokyo, thatād be around Ā£21pp, and again on your return, Ā£42 in total pp, then if you used it to get from Tokyo to Kyoto it would be an additional Ā£91pp for only a single ticket, you can see how quickly the cost would rack up without one. Youāll very quickly save money. Plus should you ever miss a train then thereās no need to worry money wise, just buy another ticket and youāre covered. Local buses are included too (basically any travel with JR on it) Please do your own research but from a quick glance this looks like a reputable company to use https://www.jrailpass.com/ - usually the pass is posted out to you then once youāre at the airport thereāll be a counter somewhere (good luck finding it, it took me ages hah) where you exchange it for a proper pass. The passes can be sold in zones so if youāre not travelling far then you can get it at a much lower price, but for what itās worth you may as well pay for the full country wide pass (14 day Ā£331) and have the freedom of being able to use it where you want. In Tokyo some of the metro lines you canāt use the pass for but each fair is only in the region Ā£1.20, if you put Ā£25 aside thatād be more than enough each. That with the cost of the pass youāre looking at around Ā£356 each. Local Attractions: Iāll list what I paid to see so you can get an idea. Tokyo Sky Tree Combo Ticket (deck and gallery): Ā£23pp These were all around Ā£3.50 - Meji Shrine (Tokyo), Kinkakuji (Golden Temple Kyoto), Arashiyama (Kyoto): The bamboo forest is free but the temple is likely to be around Ā£3.50pp Nara Park: Ā£3.50 & another Ā£3.50 for entrance to Todaiji Temple. I definitely saw more than that but youāre looking at Ā£40 for the above which is about 4/5 days worth of things to do. Not many places are free but theyāre relatively cheap, I canāt think of anywhere off the top of my head that youād pay more money for. Food: Depends on your preferences, you donāt need to spend much at all to have a good meal, food in convenience stores is of great quality for a quick snack on the go, thereās many options for cheap meals that you order on a vending machine outside the restaurant, or you can go high end and go to Sukiyasbashi Jiro in Tokyo and spend Ā£280 for arguably the best sushi in the world! This article is good for food costs overall https://matcha-jp.com/en/2532 Other Costs Souvenirs/general shopping and whatever else, portable WiFi packs are Ā£40 as seen on the Japan Rail pass link I sent, I didn't get one but later into the trip wish I had, I didn't see any options to get one apart from at the airport. Overall cost pp without accommodation (estimate): Ā£500+ for food, Ā£356 travel, Ā£100 entrance fees/attractions (deffo more than you need) = Ā£956

Just realised Iāve called it the golden triangle, thatās the route in India š meant to say golden circle, sorry pal. The golden circle can be done (without breaks) in around 3 hours, there may possibly be places to stay en route but it doesnāt need to be something thatās longer than a day trip if you donāt want it to be. Depends what kind of break you want really. Not sure if any other members have been and have any other advice but personally, as I much prefer scenery to cities if I could re-do my trip I wouldnāt have booked all 5 days in Reykjavik as I was more than happy to drive 2-3 hours of the city but I then had the problem of having to drive all the way back. Having said that I still enjoyed my time there and Iād go back and drive round the whole island. Itād be worth looking at places around the golden circle, itās pretty remote so there may be some nice cabins/lodges you can base yourself at for a night āŗļø

Rent a car, plenty of options near the airport and once youāre outside Reykjavik the roads tend to be quiet. You can easily drive yourself around the Golden Triangle route and spend as much time there as you want to at each stop. Thereās a fair few laybyās around so you can stop and take photos, the horses are pretty friendly and like attention if animals are your thing. Personally I wouldnāt spend loads of doing a tour to see the northern lights (if September is a good time of year), I drove out to the lighthouse on the edge of Reykjavik and managed to see them there just fine. Thereās plenty of interesting landscapes, you donāt need to head to any tourist spots in particular to see them, I drove out of Reykjavik for a few hours on a couple of days and there was no one else around, itās a nice place to explore.

I did too when they showed the angle on a straight line? Then when it showed the VAR screen and them looking at it from another view point there was nothing in it. š¤

Is Strava any good at tracking treadmill running (if at all)? I just looked on google and couldnāt find a definite answer so Iām not sure if you know? I tend to do a couple of runs each week on the treadmill after weight training so itād be keen to join if there is an option. No worries if not āŗļø

Britton is one of the country's leading criminal psychologists and offender profilers. Dubbed The real-life Cracker, he has assisted the police in over 100 cases including the murders of Jamie Bulger and Rachel Nickell. Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster is a 1997 bestselling non-fiction book written by Jon Krakauer. It details Krakauer's experience in the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, in which eight climbers were killed and several others were stranded by a storm

Exactly, he seems young so itās a shame heās getting all this grief but youāve got to look at from both sides, itād wind me up if he was sat near me too. Like others you just want to chill and not have someone shouting into a camera thatās recording you in the background. Thereās no reason why he canāt do something vlog based, he just needs to have a rethink š¤·š»āāļø
