Salisbury too, I’ve heard there’s a nice Catherdral that has attracted tourists from as far as Russia.

I know the situation is literally as easy as that, getting on a plane and sitting down but as I am in my 20's and I travel on my own 99% of the time I like plan in advance and have some idea of what I'll be letting myself in for, good or bad. Whilst i'm not afraid of travelling around the world on my own I still get anxious and personally, I like to make things as easy as I can for myself. Asking people to provide some feedback which has so far lead to an outcome that suggests there may not be a great deal of difference still helps a lot.

Thanks both of you 👍 I think i'll steer clear of BA in that case. It'll be another solo trip for me so I don't want the risk of rude staff putting me on edge.

UNION FS charity foodbank collection 11th January
E.Rose replied to Union FS's topic in Leicester City Forum
Hi Union FS team, Thanks for your time and effort organizing this, I'd love to donate but won't be able to make the match on Saturday, could you let me know what my best options are in terms of donating in this scenario? Am I best to do a cash donation online or will there be other opportunity in the future where i'll be able bring a donation to the club? Let me know what is best for The Bridge/Yourselves and i'll be sure to make it happen. -
Can anyone recommend which out of BA, Virgin Atlantic and Delta are best to fly with when travelling to the US? I'd assume it would be Virgin Atlantic but I was wondering what anyone else's views would be. Thank you

Croatia is really nice, it's around 3 hours away and you can easily pick up a flight from East Mids or Birmingham (assuming you live in Leics). There's the obvious town of Dubrovnik which is worth seeing however there is also many options for visiting some of the smaller islands off the coast if you don't want to be amongst the tourists 24/7. They can easily be reached within 30-45 minutes on a boat. Also further up North there's Split which I have no been to but I've heard good things about there and also Plitvice which is a national park close by. Montenegro is within 1hr30 of Dubrovnik by car, if you can vaguely see my picture that's where it was taken in Kotor. It's a small old town but has fantastic mountain views all around within a coastal bay.

Literally just planning my first trip to the US at the moment for late this year so thanks for this!

Sounds good, if the weathers not too icy try and walk up to the castle tower, that'll give you good views across the city, I think it was around 4-5 euros to go in and get to the top. They were doing some construction work there when I went (September 2019) so I had to walk up quite a steep cobbled path, if it's looking like a no go then there was this pod thing that took people up to entrance, my guess is it'd be a couple of euros to use. One last place worth a mention, I saw this on my drive down to Vilnius, it is around 2 hours away unfortunately but should you do anything that'd lead you in this direction on your trip then it's worth seeing. https://matadornetwork.com/read/lithuania-hill-of-crosses/ Other than that I hope you both have a great time. If you have any last minute questions before you go feel free to drop me a message and i'll help.

I’ve been to Vilnius however I was only there for a day and a half in total as I’d done a road trip down to there so I didn’t do masses. I’m not a drinker so I can’t recommend any bars but there seemed to be a good choice on offer along with many reasonably priced restaurants. The city itself is nice, it’s easy enough to walk around in a day, It’s a typical old town so a mix of small lanes and cobbled streets, along with more commercial buildings/streets nearby. There’s not a great deal of sightseeing to do other than churches/cathedrals and the odd museum so you may have to find things to do but if you’re only there for 3 days as you said that should be plenty of time to do everything ☺️ Edit: If you download the app Bolt, that’s the easiest way to travel around (taxi wise), it’s the same as Uber and it’s what the locals recommend I used.

I seem to be struggling again this evening, I’ve been looking online for a box or something to keep some mementos of my Grandad after his passing last month. I sat looking at his watch which has set me off and everything has hit home again 🤧 Has anyone done anything similar, in regards to a keepsake box? I’d welcome any ideas as I don’t seem to be having much luck in finding anything that isn’t styled for a wedding.

An all time favourite for me thus far would be Red Dead Redemption 2 by a mile off, loved every minute of it. Other favourites but in no particular order: Fallout 4 God of War GTA V & Black Ops as it was the first game I was introduced to on the PS3, I spent endless hours on it at the time

That’s vile, my gym seems moderately clean but even then I’d never use the showers. The dried on sh!t stains that appear from time to time in the loos make me wonder how many people are p!ssing in the showers too 😷

I’ve flown to New Zealand numerous times and have always gone with Emirates, they’re by far the best. I wouldn’t say they’re exactly cheap, I’ve never paid less that £900 return but you don’t want to go too cheap because it’s a long way to be on a cramped flight with poor service. It’s the small touches with Emirates that made the difference for me, plus I can’t remember if anyone else does it but I remember Emirates having WiFi which I always found great when flying alone. I’ve used Qantas too, they’re okay for what you get price wise, spacious enough and clean. The food was lacking slightly compared to Emirates but that’s my person opinion. Not sure if there will be options for flights with Air New Zealand but they’re brilliant too. I don’t think their flights come as far as this country though but if you see any options they’re worth going with.

A near instant sell out... add a month, have you not heard 🥴 But anyway, I do agree with some parts of the discussion that it is a worry that we don’t sell seats but, take myself for example, now that I’m back in the country and I’m able to attend matches any opportunities to buy tickets for additional matches such as the Wigan match is welcomed. I can perhaps understand from a STH point of view that this may be their 200th match and missing a game against Wigan isn’t the end of the world but I do believe the expansion will be good for the club and will attract not necessarily all new fans but new members/STHs in the new space at least. That in turn, if using my personal example should then entice people to attend additional matches. I don’t see why expanding our core fan base should be an issue and getting seats filled, obviously it won’t happen overnight but you have to start somewhere.

I’ve sorted it, such a long winded way, I created a new account then selected that I didn’t have a supporter number when the page prompts you asking for it. I then went into Personal Details then scrolled down to friends and family, there I put in my membership number. After that you can then go back and select the tickets then assign the second ticket to your season/membership number. It’s worked but my word, that’s taken me the best part of 35 minutes?!
-
Anyone else having trouble with buying a ticket for this? I’ve waited for general sale so I could get my mum a seat next to me. If I log in on my membership it won’t let me assign the second ticket to a non member, and if I try and buy without being logged in it says Anonymous client exceeds limitations 😤 The part where you select the owner comes up as blank all the time? Alternatively I would buy one logged in under my membership then one not logged in but then it flags for leaving an empty seat 🤦🏻♀️

Not of the decade but Harvey Barnes’ goal against SUFC is one of the best this year for sure. 2:09
