  1. He's one of those players that keeps surprising. Didn't expect him to ever play for us in the championship, didn't expect him to become an established first teamer, didn't expect him to score in the Prem. Fair play to him.
  2. I dont see what everyone else is seeing to be honest. Maddison used to get dogs abuse for slowing down play and playing for fouls like Ayew does but for some reason it's considered good play when Ayew does it. Just shows how 'beige' players like Ayew are viewed differently to players with actual ability due to not having as much expectations on him.
  3. Cooper was worse than Ruud so what does that make him? Cooper was lucky that out of the 12 games he played 2 of them were against Ipswich and Southampton which inflated his points total. Against genuine PL quality opposition he was absolutely useless and what made him worse than Van Nistelrooy is that he had two of our better players, Ricardo and Fatawu, sat on the bench. Had Cooper stayed for the rest of the season we would be on a much lower points tally.
  4. No Fuchs either I think? Or Ulloa?
  5. Forgetting Evans? There's a reason he's already getting minutes for us at 16.
  6. i like how he constantly looks to take players on
  7. If it's van nistelrooy or rohl I would go for rohl, if the alternative is martin or dyche then id stick with van nistelrooy
  8. Just play him against Bournemouth ffs, seems stupid not to.
  9. Ricardo's so good, always tries to play the ball forward.
  10. Ipswich are the latest on the line of Brentford, Brighton etc that were miles behind us a few years ago but have leapfrogged us as a team.
  11. We would have considerably more with players on the wings with pace that dont constantly pass the ball backwards or play for fouls.
  12. Hopefully this is Ayew's last game for the club as well. Such an awful transfer, him being brought in has lowered the gametime of Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Evans, Buonanotte, El Khannous, Alves etc. I would be fine if his performances deserved the minutes but we would be better of if we didn't have him.
  13. I would like to start a new era and with the crop of youngsters coming through it feels like one might be around the corner. The fault with how Vardy's career here has ended doesnt lie with Vardy though, it lies with Rudkin and his awful decision making and transfer strategy over the last 5 years. Yes he has declined individually over the last 3 seasons but the majority of his issues stem with the quality of the squad around him plummeting.
  14. With Pearson and some of the 15/16 squad turning up today, it feels like this game is not only a goodbye to Vardy, but a closing curtain on the best era this club has ever had.
  15. It's not about what he wants. Barnes and Dewsbury Hall didn't want to leave but the club convinced them to for financial reasons
  16. One of our ex coaches went on a podcast recently defending Rudkin and saying the fans were overreacting about the academy players not playing as they weren't as good as we thought, going on to say that Nelson was a poor trainer. It was a good insight into the mentality of the club at the moment.
  17. Vardy scores his 200th, gets subbed off and Evans scores his first . Too perfect of a fantasy to come true sadly.
  18. Saying you cant get better than Winks for £15mil is insane. Following his fallout with the manager the club will be trying to sell him in the summer, I guarantee no one buys him for even £8mil, let alone £15mil. It's very telling that him getting frozen out hasn't garnered much of a reaction from the fans when Soumare, Skipp and an Ndidi on his last legs are playing in his place.
  19. Rudkin cracking his knuckles as he pulls a masterclass by selling poor trainer and 0 PL experienced Ben Nelson for 30mil and buy PL experienced and leader Tyrone Mings for £25mil. A profit and and upgrade! Similar to selling KDH and buying Skipp.
  20. He struggled a lot when he came back from his loan. The quality difference between him and Monga/Evans is quite clear and they are both significantly younger
  21. Surely if he can play against Ipswich he can play against Bournemouth.
  22. Don't know what people saw. He has nothing in his game apart from finishing except he doesnt even time his finishes, just shoots at the first opportunity. Selling him for a profit is the best transfer business in years. Sadly it probably only happened for the wrong reason. That being Rudkin saw £10mil as the market rate for Cannon and would probably have baulked at breaking even despite that being a good deal as well.
  23. Plays for club brugges, can't see him going from a well run European club to a championship disaster. If he does want to make that move then he's probably too thick for it to be a good move long term anyway
  24. Bobby Reid 4 and Skipp 3 is generous. Maybe if the numbers are the number of good touches they've had this season.
