Realistic Managerial Replacements

Found a Guardian article from a number of years ago that looked into the effect of red cards on games nowadays vs way back when.. it generally said that in cases where teams were trailing and then had a man sent off, teams only came back to draw or win the game 11% of the time.. but this dropped to about 5% when through 80 minutes. So I think teams coming from behind whilst being a man down is more an exception to the rule, rather than the norm… but then obviously gets a lot more attention as it’s an implausible task.

He wanted to get paid so he returned to the club that have very publicly not been paying their players/staff…. Hahaha

Ahh fair enough, will just chalk that one up to the clowns running the socials then! My bad. -

Ahh is that on Twitter/X? On the Insta post it just says ‘Leicester City Football Club and Ruud van Nistlerooy have mutually agreed that Ruud’s contract with the Club as First Team Manager will terminate with immediate effect.’ Which is also just a weird way of putting it too.. -

I realise I am incredibly late to the party here and this will likely already have been discussed… But why was there no ‘we wish you/him all the best for the future…’ or something along those lines in the LCFC post about Ruud leaving? I get things didn’t go well and his record is pretty appalling, but are things that bitter at the club that we can’t even give thanks or wish anyone good luck these days.. Even Cooper got a ‘best wishes for the future’ when he left! (Realise this is probably quite a minor issue in the grand scheme of things… just seems real petty) -
You would hope that the silence is all pointing towards a deal already having been struck with Ruud going and Rohl coming in on July 1st.. Anything else would just be incredibly poor/incompetent management from above (which sadly is probably the case). If Ruud is staying, it should have been announced. If Ruud is going and set to be replaced by someone out of contract then they should have put Ruud on gardening leave and brought in the new manager already so they have time to assess everything and start getting the wheels in motion for summer transfers and pre-season. Surely that only leaves Ruud going and being replaced by Rohl (or someone of the like) and it’s embargoed until 1st July so any fee’s for the new manager goes into the new PSR reporting period. Though I fear trying to apply any common sense to our boards decision making is just folly.

‘since moving to Turkey he’s missed 132 days through injury‘ Any sane club: club looking to move on from injury prone player due to amount of games missed due to injury….. Leicester city: gerrim in!

Who’s had a better season - Arsenal Who’s season would I have preferred to have had as a fan - Spurs That being said, can fully understand why Ange got the boot.. there were dreadful for a lottt of this season (they even lost to us!)

I’ve got a lot of time for McAteer.. yes he might not be an absolute technical wizard who loves to take on a man and can change the game in an instant.. but boy works hard no matter what, always puts in a shift and has a decent eye for goal. I reckon he’ll be a decent option for us again back in Championship.. pleased for him for getting his first international goal last night!

Is that you John Cooper Clarke??

Wouldn’t surprise me if Man City are signing all these players in Jan + the massive contract extension to Haaland, because they’ve been told they will likely be getting a transfer embargo as part of any punishment from the 115 charges…. So just doing all their business now so any embargo would basically have no effect on them

I’m sure I also saw Nick Mashiter (fantastic name by the way) writing something similar for BBC… Cooper still trying to ‘implement his vision’ and how we are ‘steadily improving’

Nah we just nursed Cannon back to full fitness after signing him with a broken back.. makes sense to now ship him out on loan and get an injured player in to replace him
-
If it’s a loan, there will likely be a clause stipulating he can’t play against Liverpool.. so if anything it’d be beneficial to both as it would strengthen us against Liverpool’s opposition (if he’s actually any good that is)
-
Has this been officially confirmed yet..?

My god you’ve got to love a bit of Foxes Talk after a 4-0 win… We’ve scored 32 goals in 18 games, but don’t let facts get in the way of your ridiculousness 😂😂
