  7. Yeah, took me by surprise. Horrible looking things.
  8. Currently in Ayr before my nieces wedding at Trump Turnberry tomorrow. OK, the weather, 24 degrees with a breeze off the sea, is definitely helping, but it's bringing back childhood memories of Scotish beach holidays. Plenty of people on the sandy beach, long promenade, ice cream shops, carnival/ fairground open, and that distinctive smell of seaweed. Loads of Americans around playing Troon, Turnberry, Prestwick.

  11. England by 2 tonight, the pressure will get to the Mexicans, and I'd pick Brazil in the next round if you want the best chance of qualifying.
  12. Good performance by Scotland, any win in Argentina is deserved
  13. Thought Flatman summed it up well by comparing it to the 6N England showed that they can mix it with the best, but silly yellow cards undo all the good work.
  14. Not yet, but planning to watch the England and Scotland games later on.

  19. The key all along was getting a point from the pot 1 and 2 teams. Number 5 and 6 in the world was always going to be difficult. Having a group finishing before everyone else didnt help. In all reality, we played like a no 45 in the world and that's where we are for a reason. It grates that we looked like the least fluid attacking team in the tournament, and that's what's done for Clarke. For the Home nations bar England, its all about qualifying. It's horrible every 2 years having to watch a tournament from the outside looking in.
  20. I think the timing is about right. There were rumours of players discontent in the camp over the last week. Can't thank him enough for giving us 3 tournaments, and he got really unlucky this time with the draw and the way the fixtures came out. Haiti 1st up was never going to be easy. Irrespective who comes in, Goalkeeper, Centre half's, strikers will still be a problem. Ange being mentioned, but I think that's just because he's the anti Clarke. Would Alex Neil fancy it? Moyes?.

  22. On the face of it Clarke is going for it. Shankland, Gannon Doak, Mclean in for Adams Christie Tierney
  23. Its really not any more. At the height of the Hooliganism problem there was definitely a shift in fans attitude to mellow and distinguish our fans as being not from England. Nowadays, it's about the party. Bit of a cliche, but that's the attitude of most travelling. Absolutely no one cares about the England fans when they are abroad following Scotland. I saw it in Germany 2 years ago, there's a differant attitude abroad by both sets of fans.
  24. Aberdeen change from Adidas to Macron. Not a bad away effort, but black shirts would have been better.
