  1. Charnwood Salvation in the Manor House quorn. Not my normal pint of choice but enjoyed it.
  2. I've a vested interest in how the Bulgarian keeper did. I saw his OG, please tell me the rest of the goals were unstoppable....
  3. Great politician, did so much for my country. Big football fan. This documentary is worth a watch if you are interested in Uk politics over the last 20 years https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0022yfc
  4. Yeah, I thought the same. The media seem to think its a game changer, if anything it would put me off going.
  5. Right, go and make it 4 or 5.
  6. Yeah, they must be bricking it that it might be another Fergie era about to happen.......😀 There's a feel good factor around the city that's not been there for years. 4,000 fans in Dundee today and could have sold more. Its all about putting some points between us and the candidates for 3rd and European adventures next year.
  7. 😁 making hay while the sun shines. English clubs need to take a look at Lennon Miller. By far the best young player in the SPL.
  8. The difference in the size of the keepers 🤣
  9. Watched it after the boxing last night. The Argentinians were excellent, but SA were so frustrating. Time after time they got into promising positions and then launched a high kick to contest and hope for a knock on = scrum = penalty at the scrum = 3 points. Rinse and repeat. It was karma that Libbock missed that easy 3 points to win it with 2 min to go. The Aussies put up a good performance in the morning that shows the Lions tour might not be the walkover everyone expects next summer.
  10. 10 out of 10 for the new manager. Great attendance and atmosphere.
  11. I'm back home up North for a week and watching the Scottish news where people are saying they wont be able to heat their homes this winter. You have to remember the temperatures in the North of the country are at least 5 degrees lower than the East Mids. They are annoyed at the Labour MP's. They voted them in at the last GE, but none of them have the bottle to stand up for their constituents on this issue. Here's hoping its a mild winter.
  12. It's been tried and all it did was put clubs at risk. The clubs are more cautious nowadays and prefer the player trading model of buying cheap and selling high. It doesn't really bode well for a sustained title challenge or a settled squad. As soon as any club gets close the old firm close ranks and either buy or unsettle your important players. The rubbish TV deal for the SPL doesnt guarentee a provincial club decent money to fall back on if they decided to go for it and spend heavily to challenge.
  13. Aberdeen has been 17k for the last 3 seasons. Hasn't been as low as 10k since 2010.
  14. A bit like the EPL then? 😉
  15. I know the quality isn't great at times, but you cant fault the passion A winner at 97 mins to make it 9 wins out of 9 for the new manager. Role on the old firm tomorrow. 😀
  16. Didn't like Lyles after the first episode, but warmed to him by the end. Same with Richardson, quite like her feisty attitude. The difference in training facilities between USA and Jamaica was stark.
  17. As far as draws go, Celtic have won a watch.
  18. Nearly right, Mciness no2 was Tony Docherty at Aberdeen.. He's currently Dundee manager after going it alone. He's doing well. It's a good move for the lad. New league, new country. I watched Maddison come into the SPL and he looked a star for 2 month's. He really struggled for the next 3 months trying to adjust to full time 1st team football, but he experienced a cup final at Hampden v Celtic. Next season at Norwich he was a different player and invariably played well week in week out.
  19. Nah, didn't mean that, I think youve picked me up wrong It was the 2nd post I was referring to. There was nothing about racist bigots in the one I replied to. I'm old enough and ugly enough to know that within any crowd at amy event you are going to get a broad range of people attending.
  20. Pretty much my take on it as well. They were the soundtrack for the country for years and I got caught up in the feeling. As events go, Loch Lomond was brilliant, Knebworth not so good and by the time I saw them in Newcastle years later I was more interested in the Barcelona champions league game taking part in the city at the same time. I get all the hype and excitement but this time it just doesn't do anything for me. TBH, it was the same with the Stone Roses reunion.
  21. Still gives me nightmares......
  22. Chris Iwelumu. Ex Wolves striker
  23. Talksport seen to be reporting from a girls school playground.
  24. Criminal the way Spurs found Sarr all alone inbetween the back 4 and midfield in the build up for the goal. Spurs look a team comfortable in their own skin.
  25. A chance for Celtic to take the higher ground and let Rangers fans in for the 1st OF game. It would put pressure on Rangers to do the same but no, typical tit for tat between those 2. I was surprised to see Brendon toe the party line, he looked very subservient in his interview today.
