  1. Forgot about Conway. Problem is, it doesn't look like Clarke rates him.
  2. Bowie at Hibs is the hope at the moment. Gannon Doak is a great player,if he stays fit and gets games at Bournemouth. Too many players not playing for their clubs, Doak, Robertson, Ferguson, Hickey, Gilmour, Gunn. Goalkeeper is a real problem, as is no9. I like Adams but he's not a natural finisher.
  3. The 2 games at Hampden are crucial. Greece next up and Denmark is the final game. We lack a goal threat unfortunately.
  4. I see the 3 crowns is back up for lease. Navi looked packed when I walked past 5pm yesterday.
  5. Good point. Played well. My mates have had a blast in Copenhagen. Unleash the younger exciting players against Belarus later this week. Shame its a closed door game.
  6. I reckon Clarke's time is up when we lose tonight. His team is stale. Leaving Doak, Gilmour, Mckenna and Bowie on the bench leaves him open to major criticism.
  7. I got a taste for the Altbier in Dusseldorf during the euros last year. Same idea as Cologne, keep on coming until the coaster goes on top, served by proper waiters in all the get up. Great idea, serving it in small glasses as well to make sure it stays fresh.
  8. It's weird, depending on the sport. I get behind the GB Olympic team, British and Irish Lions, Ryder Cup team. I'd never get behind a UK football team. I actually like how as 4 different nations we all have our idiosyncrasies but fundamentally are very similar. I do think the next General election will create some serious divides within each of the 4 countries.
  9. Deal. In the divorce we'll keep the natural resources, and you can get the Royals 😀. I'll even throw Rangers and Celtic in to sweeten the deal.
  10. Really disappointed to see people from my home town outside a hotel protesting a few weeks ago (Aberdeenshire) , and numerous people with flags draped over them. As you say, the Scottish, Irish thing up North brings a whole new level of complexity to the situation.
  11. I'm going to take the 5th....... I'd potentially get a ban otherwise 😀. I can understand why its happening, I just don't agree with it. As someone else said, it makes me feel uneasy.
  12. Saw my first flag raisers tonight on the way home from work. Four 30 to 40 aged lads, one bedecked with a George Cross round his neck and down his back, and the other 3 on step ladders putting flags up at the birch tree roundabout, Coalville. They must be popular lads because most cars going past were beeping their horn and getting a thumbs up in return from the flaggers. I've seen it on the news, it just took me a bit by surprise to see it in action relatively close to home.
  13. @Corky beat me to it.
  14. Dundee derby at 2pm on premier sports is usually good.
  15. It's definitely one of the sticks he gets beaten up with, Engels at £11m is the other one
  16. With Adam Idah heading to Swansea, Celtic look really short of firepower up front.
  17. Conferance league fixtures came out yesterday, so have 4 days in Athens at the end of October and 4 days in Prague just before Christmas.
  18. Prague, Athens, Larnaca away. Will probably struggle to get a ticket for Prague, and I'm banking on the other 2 to be gamedays 4 and 6
  19. See you in the conference, some result so far.
  20. Ah well, conference league it is for the Dons, probobly our level. We were well in the game at 0 0 until the worst penalty / sending off VAR decision I've seen in my life just before HT.
  21. Tom English was giving it both barrels on Radio Scotland last night. Pre the managers post match interview he was asked "what could Russell Martin say that would give the Rangers fans some positivity over the next few months?". "I quit" was his answer 😀😀
  22. Celtic did well in the champions league last year and finished above Man City, Rangers have done well in the Europa over the last 5 years, so there is pedigree there. Trying to put them in the EPL to make comparisons is daft. Both teams would look considerably differant lining up in the EPL compared to For every person saying "Scottish league is a farmers league etc", you find another one saying "EPL is sanitised corporate rubbish". It depends what you want in your club. I'd argue there's a greater link to fans and the local community up North because they realise without fans they are dead. Clubs down here in the EPL and championship don't have to rely on fans for revenue and don't have to engage locally as much. I've often seen that complaint on here.
  23. It's not a good week for the Old firm, but brilliant for the rest of us.
