Throw Monga, Thomas, Aluko, McAteer, Hamza, even Daka into that squad and you see how we should be very strong this year. I fancy us for a solid play off position this year solely with that squad (praying we ship out Faes and Soumare). We are a good Attacking Midfielder and Centre Forward away from seriously pushing for top spot (points deduction aside)

Would be great to see some clear patterns of play on Friday. I’m guessing we will see a stronger side play Koln. Positional setup was impressive so early on against ZTE, but hopefully we see that kick on even further after another week on the training pitch.

Sold Sainz and Sargent. It’s a lot to replace but their window so far is impressive. I’m amazed they got Kvistgaarden. Manning is a good coach too, expect them to be around the play offs.

As much as he can’t finish, his all round game has greatly improved from around the time Enzo came in really. Hold up play was really solid in the last pre season match, his issue is solely finishing. I’d honestly still back him to hit double figures next season

Exactly this by the looks of it. under Enzo we almost looked 3-2-4-1 in possession Marti is more 2-3-3-2, although his inverted full backs aren’t quite as high up the pitch as Enzo’s. Will be interesting to see changes to shape on Saturday, if any this early on.

I think a starting CF, Ayew and Evans is enough. But if we were to bring Kolli in, he isn’t ready to start week in week out for me yet. Could he dovetail with Ayew? Possibly….but I still think we need a 15-20 goal striker, especially looking at the improvements other clubs in the league have made in that position. plenty of good options around the £8-£10m mark, do we have that money? If we can shift enough out then we should do. Especially as I don’t think we need much else away from that

Potentially, although I feel teams just got smarter to us throughout the season. Early on we constantly beat the press through a Winks/Ricardo bounce pass combo, but then struggled when it went wide to a Wanya or Kasey. Vividly remember the Cardiff home match thinking that Vestegaard had plenty of opportunities to find Kelechi early on and we didn’t do it.

If the players were missing Enzo, they should relish this in comparison to Cooper and RVN. Strikes me as similar to Enzo but with a little more risk in the final third. More rotations rather than complete tactical discipline, but definitely similar principles and shape.
