  1. I assume his agent is driving the hardest of bargains but it will happen.
  2. Thing is every body keeps saying "get rid" about a number of players. Not a single one of them is going to sacrifice a penny to please us. They have their livelihood to protect.
  3. As usual with tactics, they are subject to massive revision as they become just scribbling on a white board. If you haven't got the players , nothing much works. You end up flying by the seat of your pants.
  4. I am pretty sure most on here will predict us to win , after all they predicted victories in nearly every match last season. In truth, who knows , its a matter of faith.
  5. If Hamza doesn't get booked , he isn't doing his job. He very rarely gets sent off however.
  6. If we pay his £3 million wages for a year , they will take him.
  7. Start Hamza at least he knows what's coming.
  8. People on here who support that tactic get burned at the stake.
  9. He was magic 40 minutes ago. Harry does what Harry does , he is not Xavi.
  10. The wisdom of Foxestalk match thread eh. Opinions change in a microsecond.
  11. Let's hope this geezer can head the ball , we score a tiny amount in the air.
  12. According to some , who shall be nameless , he was going to be one of the PL's leading strikers. Patson is not bad by any means but I doubt whether he is going to get the goals we need. I hope to be pleasantly surprised mind you.
  13. Well, we have the biggest CB in Souttar and he is once again a Championship defender. Its not so much about size , its attitude and aggression. My reading is , with less close scrutiny VAR , you will get away with more physical play in the Championship. Our players have a reputation for being pussies though Wout Faes is not included in that.
  14. TV money.
  15. More likely money.
  16. Pep consistently failed to win the CL with his earlier methods even if the high skill level of his players was too much for most teams in the PL. He has won it at last by putting far more muscle in his team. Haaland , Grealish in attack and Stones and Rodri into midfield . Actually only Silva is lightweight nowadays. A lesson for us I think , no more lightweight players unless they are outstanding footballers. Lightweight is not all about size though , attitude is equally important. A reincarnated Bremner would be perfect for us.
  17. Our baffling and often clueless transfer dealings. Good luck Enzo , you will need it.
  18. He inherited a Barcelona team with a number of genius level players in their prime. He cemented his reputation on motivating them and that has never left him. He is good allright , he is a clever man but he has always had the best players. Fergie was better , in fact he may be the best all round manager ever , he never had the genius of Iniesta and Messi.
  19. When you are starting in management you discount the risk. I am sure he is well aware of the task.
  20. The older I get , the more cynical I get. Wading through the bullshit gets more difficult by the day. I will not attack Maresca even if we struggle , he has been dealt a poor hand . Many on here will though , they can't help themselves.
  21. Thing is BR was one of those coaches who copied him and look what happened. Fergie took a bunch of kids , a cheap Russian winger and an unmanageable Frenchman to dominance . I was impressed with that.
  22. With Pep , he has always had the best players and the most money. When he applies his advanced tactics to Grimsby and wins the CL , I will be impressed but of course they would still get their arse kicked . If you haven't got quality players no tactic works in the end. .
  23. I love all these managers with their charts and analysis , big white boards and profound tactical insight. They usually end up sacked and talking bollocks in after match discussions on Sky Sports. The game nearly always laughs at their presumption.
  24. You only have to get a couple of victories and a good many on here were talking Europe. There was never a uniform or objective look at our decline on here and there still isn't. There is far too much black and white thinking. We are a classic grey area , mediocrity is boring maybe but most teams definitely are mediocre.
  25. Less TV in the Championship so the refs are under less close scrutiny. Which probably means a gorilla of a championship full back would eat him alive and get away with it. He should stick to more gentlemanly football.
