Maresca has to understand , this is not Man.City , he can't have everything he wants. If he has to modify his tactics to suit his players strengths , then he will have to do that. We have tried the square pegs in round holes under Rodgers. Early days of course , hopefully this will be sorted.

To be honest , there is absolutely no evidence he is better than those three anyway. Never judge a player on international football , his performances for Reading were moderate. He is another body in midfield , which we do need but no game changer.

As with Perez ,our players pay makes them as surplus players impossible to transfer unless we accept very little fee because contracted players are not going to make any sacrifice. The Thais hate that so the only other option is to try and loan them out but then we have to subsidise their pay as with Hamza , Praet etc. We will end up with most of them running their contracts down. This is entirely our fault , don't blame the players. They are professionals not a charity.

It is true that our transfer market activity has been largely poor but many on here would apparently want to make it worse still. At least all of our recent purchases have been relatively cheap. I would prefer a policy of only loaning young inexperienced players "taking a punt " on transfers would not be an option.

The hype before his signing was ridiculous , same with Tete and as for Madueke it bordered on the insane. These young players have to develop a brain if they want to succeed at the top. Some get wise , many don't and fall by the wayside. You can blame Youtube, one dimensional stat sites or limited computer games for unrealistic expectations but so much money gets wasted it is crazy. Taking somebody on loan like Callum Doyle is much safer and expectations are tempered. Undiscovered diamonds are so rare now and we have been exceptionally lucky to get three in a row with Vardy, Mahrez and Kante. Mostly you get what you paid for or often much less.

Strikers eh , consistency seems to be only found in the over 30s - Mbappe and Haaland excepted - far, far too many one season wonders. Too many are lightweight and rubbish in the air. Its no wonder Bayern are prepared to pay £100 million for Kane. He does what it says on the tin.

Most of them get called utter cack on here , advising them to clear off. Then when nobody is interested affect surprise. If and when they do leave for peanuts or nothing ,those same people want to know the reason why .Bizarre! Even Barnes and Maddison were often hammered on here. Some people think Leicester City should be a team of faultless superstars. Our players are all flawed but utter cack they are not.

Harvey will keep turning up in the right place and score , that's all Newcastle want from him. He will never be the the complete player , they know that. That has been so difficult for some on here to accept.

OK , I plucked that number out of the air , but with no Barnes or Maddison , our midfielders are going to have to score plenty. We still need a new striker more than a wideman. That is going to be extremely difficult . Every team wants potent strikers and they are expensive.

Scored one goal in his senior career. If he was 18 ,I would accept that , he is not he is 20.

This sounds like a plea for Everton to please , please buy our dud striker. Why on earth should they do that? For the record I don't think he is dud but didn't suit Rodgers ball nor will he Enzoball. He certainly won't suit Everton either.

If he is as crap as some on here think, Everton won't be interested. Unless of course we let him go for £5 million or so. If we do they will scream blue murder on here. We have three strikers who no longer score goals and no team gets out of the Championship without a functioning striker. I have said before our strikers need to score 40 to 50 goals between them at least this season . Very much doubt that is going to happen. We need a new striker.

This obsession with Spurs on here , I just don't get .Yes some of their fans are obnoxious but we have a fair few. I understand local rivalries , football is nothing without it but Spurs , I just don't care about them. Maddison is gone , he was generally good for us but he is history just like Winks is for Spurs .

We were heading for relegation the season after winning and few were talking that way on here. Football is about the here and now and great as the success was , we can't exist on nostalgia , not us or Spurs.

Most would not. Continued PL status is what matters to the fans in the end. Leicester by the way is not little and given the size of the city should always , always be in the top tier. We have failed to sustain that, time and time again. We have a bigger mountain to climb than Spurs now.

On balance , they do OK , beaten us 8 times out of the last 12. Is that failure? Not really , failure is getting relegated.

OK Hamza then , nickel tungsten hard , if fact nearly nuclear resistant. A whole years experience of kicking backsides in the Championship as well , double sorted.

Dennis at the back maybe, tallish, good clean tackler reads the game pretty well, decent with both feet , sorted until Coady returns.

We don't do emergency CBs very well at all. Enzo may have to make do with what he has. Obviously Faes is going nowhere at all , he will have to lump it , poor sod.

Its a long season and we are going to get beaten , maybe hammered sometimes. It will be interesting to read opinions of Maresca after we do. If we get beaten twice in a row , some on here will be standing on their heads. Opinion is fickle. None of this matters if overall we get the job done. 138 points to play for , 90 should see us up or playoff at least.

Strictly that is true , it just amazes me how some on here think its easy to get rid , This is not Football Manager.

You can't make him and if he trains properly and makes himself available to play i.e. fulfills his contract , you have to pay him. I thought everybody knew that.

Man.City should be called The Champs as they are the champions for seemingly evermore.

Look pay him up and he will be off tomorrow , they wouldn't do it with Perez and they won't with him.
