  1. I think he's only called the Ayew transfer correctly in recent years, don't think he's got anything else right about us having posted numerous times about the club.
  2. Yeah, that was my take. Tanner said effectively Martin and his team were doing their own PR and the owners would have been put off if they were interested by the fan reaction vs. Bournemouth. @Ric FlairThat’s some source so fair enough!
  3. Really impressed with Aluko as well as Monga and Page. He is rapid and looks like he can play as well, lovely through ball to Jayden Joseph for that chance.
  4. The ITK who said the Russell Martin rumour was rubbish says we don’t have money to pay for Rohl’s compensation so that move only happens if he agrees a buy out with them. Also likely to rely on free transfers.
  5. Agree. I think moaning about anything and everything is distorting the biggest issues which are Top and Rudkin. There’s so much to criticise there, trying to get angry over everything is getting tiresome, ridiculous and boring, like they want to be outraged all the time.
  6. He's not now - he says a PL punishment can be applied in the Championship. He says he can't be for sure if we will get a deduction as he hasn't seen the figures.
  7. Exactly, that's what he says. But the rule change had already happened when he was doing interviews saying a PL punishment can only apply in the PL, even though the loophole had been closed.
  8. Same, but two new things for me: 1. He clarified that the EFL can apply any punishment from the PL - he hadn't said that before, saying previously a PL punishment could only be applied in the PL so he's changed his position on this. 2. Surprised we hadn't sold players to put ourselves in a better position for 24/25 or taken a plea bargain with the PL so there would be just one punishment that applied in the PL, as this now opens us up to punishment in the EFL. Guess it explains why we didn't spend in January as we knew we were in trouble of breaching again. PS The tone of the Second Tier podcast is grating, just avoid them as they thrive on clickbait and getting fans from bigger clubs like us to engage.
  9. Michael Keane https://www.footballinsider247.com/leicester-set-sights-on-signing-everton-player-after-sean-dyche-update/
  10. I think there would be a fair bit about Rodgers that would damage him as well. Not sure Enzo would care particularly - even his fanboy Balague said it wasn't due to issue with Leicester he left as he'd already agreed to stay on, but Chelsea came along.
  11. Tanner had confirmed as much about PSR meaning the club have gone back on pledges - they need to bite the bullet and move on as it’s heavily damaged the club in multiple seasons now and damaged trust not only with the manager but the fans as well: “Such a waste of money hampered Van Nistelrooy, who had said he was given assurances when discussing the position with Leicester that there would be funds available. When the January transfer window came around, that assurance faded, with the club’s ongoing concerns over profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) overriding any pledges.”
  12. I keep hearing and reading the club have lied to managers, but then direct quotes from the likes of Maresca suggest that they held the people who ran the club is high regard. Personally, I don't think there is active lying going on, but instead an overly optimistic version of events. But then things aren't working out with PSR or there are new developments in relation to it, causing the sudden switch in position. I suspect that's what happened in January when the club decided not to spend more when relegation was looking likely and knew a PSR punishment was likely following the tribunal. And similarly with Maresca and Rodgers - when European football wasn't secured, the board decided to switch the spending taps off. But it adds up to the same thing as you end up alienating managers, however well intentioned.
  13. The silence from the club is clearly alienating the media, and now there is a consensus that the club is not being managed well, it's easier to criticise now.
  14. Worth a read of the full article, whoever comes in has a huge job on his hands. Includes that some players were reluctant to do strength and conditioning work - highlights some of the Enzo's legacy with the focus on controlling possession rather than transition play and physicality which are now features of the PL.
  15. Yep, the club are heavily restricting their comms to focus either on very positive news (like the contract renewals) or essential info. I think the legal team will be advising minimal comms given the PSR issue. So that's leaving the press to fill the vacuum with speculation - that Telegraph article didn't have anything new in it but was a decent summary of the recent developments that have been made public.
  16. I have little sympathy for the board when they allowed £150m worth of players to go on a free transfer and kept Rodgers on when it was obvious change was needed but this shows what a farce PSR is:
  17. Exactly! @StriderHiryu @LFox99 and others - let’s not jump to conclusions, especially off an Alan Nixon article. May well still be Dyche but clear no prominent journalist knows yet.
  18. Exactly, but you can also see them doing for clickbait and appears to be working based on what I’ve seen on my feed. Sad but not surprising how people are missing the detail.
  19. Has any top tier source confirmed we’re looking at both? Remember the rumours from TalkSport, BTG etc. about Martin were proven false. Nixon has got a lot wrong about us as well, like Lath. Only recent claim he got right was Ayew. The previous summer, it was clear Cooper, Corberan and Potter were our top 3 choices. This time, there has been no leaks from the club so media are filling the void with speculation. Reading Nixon’s piece, he’s careful about how he discusses Dyche and doesn’t suggest confidence. Let’s see who is appointed and then it’s fair game.
  20. Here is the Nixon story from the Sun - RvN to leave in the next accounting period: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/35511150/leicester-sack-ruud-van-nistelrooy-wait-replacement/ Mentions Dyche being lined up but the article doesn’t really commit to it, just says the different parties are waiting to find out the points punishment.
  21. Exactly, thanks for clarifying!
  22. This, although there are some Athletic journalists that have assigned clubs who do break stories more often (excluding Ornstein who is their main transfer person). He likes to keep on side with the club, but it has been interesting he's been more critical recently about the board and club comms. Probably feels as frustrated as the fans. I don't think Tanner said wages were an issue, it was playing style. But if Top is less directly involved now similar to King Power, who knows?
  23. First to publish that Dean Smith would be our new manager in 2023.
