  1. Some very reflective, honest comments from Marti - let's hope we finally get some changes in the lineup with younger, hungrier players: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/hull-v-leicester-city-live-10588704
  2. We were streaky in the early matches but you could see the players were giving it their best. A highlight was Soumare and Skipp hunting the ball down vs. Birmingham - hadn't seen either player show that kind of endeavour before. Then steadily, he's brought more of the experienced players back and the attitude has begun to regress while there have been fitness issues as well. Surely he realises giving the youngsters a chance ahead of the failed experienced players is great for morale and energy as well?
  3. We can only hope that him taking off Faes wasn’t just tactical but a realisation he’s a liability for the team. Okoli or Nelson along with Ramsey must start the next match.
  4. We looked solid defensively but then he drops Okoli as Faes is a better passer. Since then, we’ve just kept one clean sheet. Hideous decision.
  5. Ricardo and Monga have been best as impact players so far this season, so no arguments there. Fine with Ayew on the wing, that seems to be his best position. Annoyed Faes hasn’t been put on the bench, or even kicked out of the squad. His attitude stinks. And would have liked more of the youngsters on the bench, especially Evans and Page.
  6. Lock the thread!
  7. Agree re. people having a bias. All I said it was a superb pass, and you said it was a great cross as well. Didn't say it was an easy chance for Thomas. So we've said the same thing! Not a fan of Hamza but aim to be objective as possible. Faes and Thomas' defending are far bigger issues for me, both lost their balance at crucial moments for their goal. If they'd stood up, we might have avoided the equaliser.
  8. We didn't yesterday, our issues were on the left. Find it wild that when our biggest issues are lack of goals, Faes and Thomas' defending on the transition and fitness in the 2nd half that a cameo from Hamza yesterday is being discussed so much.
  9. He was fine when he came on, and wasn't just a decent cross, it was a superb pass. He's the least of our issues - striker and fitness are far bigger ones.
  10. So everyone with a bias against Hamza appears to be missing he almost delivered a glorious assist if Thomas had put that chance away?
  11. Kept clean sheets with Okoli in the team, just had one since Faes returned. Tells you the story.
  12. Disappointing. Our defensive record is worse since Faes came into the team - have we kept a clean sheet till he tool Okoli's spot? While the latter doesn't offer as much offensively, he's a better defender.
  13. LOL, I base my comments on evidence. MotM performance yesterday. His style is high risk/high reward - our best football comes from when we play those quick passes to build into midfield. But you do you, let's agree to disagree.
  14. Yeah, I see that but they did play together under Enzo. At least make him part of the squad.
  15. LOL, you've had a mare re. Vestergaard. Any questions on his performance today? But back to the thread, surely Nelson gets a go now instead of Faes?
  16. Exactly, the live match thread is becoming the pits - we played well and got a deserved victory.
  17. Rubbish, we were largely excellent on the ball. Daka, Carranza and Vesty had good chances, with the latter scoring in addition to the two great strikes.
  18. Strong performance from the team. Remember Swansea were unbeaten in eight home matches, and had conceded only four goals at home this season so far. Yet, we scored 3 and could easily have had more. And that's despite a dodgy referee who favoured the home side, including their penalty. Vestergaard put in a Beckenbauer-esque performance with a goal as well, so good. Even when he made that one mistake, he recovered well. James, Ricardo, Monga and Fatawu were very good to good as well. Enjoyed it.
  19. For Vestergaard, read Beckenbauer. Superb.
  20. For all their supposed pressure, Swansea were hardly creating anything. Looked more like we’d go 2-0 up.
  21. Absolutely no need for that challenge, even if he got the ball. Get Faes out!
  22. Was debating someone about Vestergaard on the forum this week, today’s performance highlights why he’s been our best defender this season so far. James is the other standout.
  23. Yeah, makes sense - why would someone close to the club give that info if the player was still at the club?
