  1. Quality is lacking. Played some nice football in the 1st half but lacked cutting edge/the finish. And then got suckerpunched 2nd half. So disappointing, just look like a side going down.
  2. I think there is a bit of rose-tinted glasses with Iversen. He looked better as the comparison was Danny Ward but he was average as well towards the end of the 22/23 season - for example, he was very good vs. Everton but awful vs Fulham. In fact, the stats for expected goals conceded suggested during his time in goal he wasn't much better than Ward. And remember Jakob is young and just coming back from a major injury. He's not played a huge amount of games, and the goalkeeping position is a huge one. If his form drops and Mads is still injured, we're screwed.
  3. Of course, depends on who the club gets.
  4. You just can't risk it with the goalkeeping position as we learnt to our cost in 22/23. It's arguably the most critical position, and Mads was arguably the key reason why we were outside of the bottom 3 until he got injured.
  5. Looks like this won’t happen, even if we had a spare domestic loan spot:
  6. The quote from PL in the Times says "...no complaint has been brought against Leicester by the league for any breach of the PSRs for the period ending Season 23-24" so looks clear to me.
  7. Not directly by the PL but the reports say no clubs have been charged for 23/24 so it's pretty clear. That means the verdict on 23/24 is not connected to the pending arbitration of 22/23.
  8. Yep, appears that the PL have been stirring things deliberately (the journalist claims he got his info from PL sources), perhaps even using the likes of Maguire as outriders as they're trying to get back at us for winning on the 22/23 case. It's pathetic but effective. I like Maguire but I really think it's distasteful the way he's played up the PSR stuff and joked about it. I wonder if Brighton were in a similar situation (very unlikely given how well they're run), he'd be jovial so readily? That comment in the Telegraph about the club feeling like they're being picked on makes more sense given how things have played out.
  9. Yes, on Talksport a couple of weeks ago saying we're at high risk. Didn't say another club was under the same level of scrutiny.
  10. Yes, the PL said they would pursue it at the time when the verdict arrived.
  11. That relates to 22/23 when the PL lost the case against us after it went to an independent panel as we were a Championship club so not under their jurisdiction. The PL said they would pursue it legally at the time so not new news - and lawyers said at the time it's unlikely the PL would manage to reverse the decision.
  12. Loophole FC strikes again! To all the negative, gloom laden, pessimistic posters, PL and rival club supporters, your boys have taken a hell of a beating!
  13. No need to fly around insults mate. And Lox said it was from trusted sources, not a rumour on the video. I really like the BTG content, especially the analysis. Fans are concerned as it is, and throwing around things like this make it more toxic. Your response kind of proves the point.
  14. Yeah, read somewhere (might have been the Athletic) that even though the transfer went through on 2 July, it can be included in the 23-24 accounts.
  15. Exactly. The analysis @StriderHiryu does is superb, as are some of the other contributors with their insights. Watch it for that, as this kind of clickbait demeans them.
  16. Exactly, and BTG have changed their tune now saying we won’t know the punishment! I guess we’re going to get this kind of unhelpful speculation until the announcement.
  17. Seen this but do they announce the points deduction upfront? And, if it is around 12m over, that should mean a 2 points deduction based on Everton’s punishment right?
  18. He’s signed according to Romano:
  19. Tom Collomosse from Daily Mail says he's joining Sheff Utd this week
  20. Didn’t watch the match yesterday but Man U fans were impressed with his performance.
  21. This article about the potential transfer says his idol is Riyad Mahrez: https://www.footmercato.net/a5075490795444224517-le-rc-lens-tient-deux-belles-options-pour-renforcer-son-attaque
  22. In the ESPN report about the deal with Cruzeiro falling through, it suggested that he has a knee issue that may be putting off European clubs.
  23. https://www.alfredopedulla.com/esclusiva-manchester-united-e-leicester-su-francesco-pio-esposito/ Says we and Man Utd are monitoring him.
