To be fair that is only part of the picture. How much has the population grown in say the last 25 years and how much driven by migration. They will fill the airwaves etc banging on about it rather than focus on what progress or not the government is doing on their policies.

Perhaps this seat is far from representative of the country. We've seen so called seismic results in other by-elections before only to be proved to be blips.

See turnout for both the by-election and general election for Gorton and Denton was less than 50%.

I think sometimes the system is almost too dispassionate. Personally I'm against capital punishment for example but equally some sentences baffle me as far too soft

Just been reading some of the public comments on the SEND plans by the government. Some people have no idea the obstacles that parents face when trying to get help. These ignorant types seem to think it's all about bad parents and naughty kids. Makes my blood boil.
