  1. Seems like we might have sold our soul to the devil when won the League and then the FA Cup and now we are paying the debt. Looking at another spell in the third tier is hard to take. I made a deal in my head that after completing domestic football I wouldn't get so wound up though this calamity is testing that deal. As for the Everton comparison as an old bloke that can remember them as a top side any of their fans under 40 must look wistfully at their history.
  2. Agreed. There has been a few seasons where I would have happily accepted a nice quiet mid table finish without all the drama
  3. Fan since 1963. Worst I've felt. Anger replaced by feeling of exhaustion and sadness with absolutely no idea how we recover. A double relegation is unforgivable and Top and Rudkin surely have to face facts that that the buck stops with them.
  4. Relegated with 2 games to go. Pathetic
  5. Customary no clean sheet. So often this means game over
  6. Hopefully those mentioned in this thread will have gained vital experience in mens first team football. Going to need some to shine next season.
  7. At least Sammy and Louis are unsullied by the capitulation especially the last couple of months. Hopefully both will be a central part of the rebuild.
  8. Leicester City is like a box of chocolates. All soft centres
  9. Is that the pointless passing it around the back until you lose it and give chances away?
  10. Whoever the manager is. Get the appointment sorted pronto and get a full preseason in together with the staff
  11. Surely even in a family owned business that has declined so rapidly the chairman and the appointed chief executive would be booted off the board
  12. Winks and Skipp both born and brought up in Hertfordshire so not cockneys despite playing for Spurs
  13. I wouldn’t disagree. The bricks and mortar not the issue but rather the lack of discipline and man management probably the cause
  14. Seems all can give it a go apart from us
  15. Nothing to indicate our rabble can win a single game. Can't score and can't keep a clean sheet
  16. Not a whiff of any chance of beating the drop. In fact just the opposite and worse with each passing match.
  17. Shameful demise.
  18. Running to the gallows
  19. Like a lot of things rot sets in long before the edifice actually collapses
  20. January 2022 losing to Spurs after being 2-1 up after 94 minutes.
  21. Probably for those of a certain age but 70 Up will be shown later this year. Perhaps you will remember 7 Up and the shows made every 7 years following the fortunes of the children from differing backgrounds. Absolutely fascinating tv.
  22. Whatever the state of the finances the first saving should be the sacking of Rudkin.
  23. Yep. Feeble, brainless and unfit.
  24. Borders on criminal neglect
