Mental strength v weakness if often the difference in individual or team sport. Imagine the top tennis players saving vital set points or nailing the match point. Our club had mental strength in 2014 winning the Championship, 2015 digging out of the relegation fight, 2016 when winning the whole damn thing. What we are suffering from is mental weakness together with an absence of hard work, running and determination plus a manager who can't adjust his team and tactics to what is going on the pitch rather than his whiteboard in Seagrave.

I think man management is the vital element in question here. Marti has the players playing in a slow ponderous way and they must know how crap it is. Young players coming into the side can't thrive in this atmosphere. The manager has to provide the impetus through the squad. Of course a lot of the players are not much good but we are getting beaten by players not rated that highly
